Mcbussy: i'll go with d Samsung...512mb RAM is kinda insufficient these days.by d time bbm,facebook,twitter are all running in d background and u try to check sumthn up wif ur browser,d device would start slowing down.

gedtalks: these two phones are really competing. I'll go for the LG Optimus, its not as common as Samsun Galaxy. Uniqueness belongs to super classic people.

number 1 factor to consider is how much is budgeted...after dat,what i consider next is d best product and hardware specs for dat price.i dont care if everybody in my street use dsame device.i spend my money to d highest level of efficiency,so for me its a matter of value for money.

i'll never pick a 512mb LG over a 700mb samsung....as for d difference in OS,ICS and JB are quite similar

And by the way, the Ram according to online specs is supposed to be 768mb naw. How come 644mb?

i partially disagree with u.on ICS and jellybean u can choose to install apps on sd card.all u need to do is set it as ur preferred instalation memory.theres a place in ur settings where u can select dat,dsame place where u set ur device to accept instalation of apps dat arent from playstore(sideloading).its only few apps like bbm and antivirus softwares dat compulsorily installs on phone memory.

tosnat: My brother...I have used the lg optimus..its cute but wont advise you to spend on it....don't know about the Samsung but my candid advise is that since you are after an entry level smartphone,go for a Chinese brand like tecno because they offer more value for money at these prices.. Better specs and cool accessories..

The reknown brands are just good at the flagship level but I won't even buy a Samsung flagship device when I can get a gionee with same or better specs half the price.am quite experienced with these devices cos its been a while...

Buy neither fones..go for tecno or gionee...you won't regret it.

I used the optimus for quite some time..you just can't download to memory card..except media... So you get to use a limited number of applications and have to frequently clean up RAM.. What's the joy in that?

A Chinese brand will permit you to move apps to s.d card...your phone will retain its brilliant performance and with a gig of ram..you are just so on point...

i get ur point,but i still insist dat ur not entirely correct...i've had a hands on experience with my brother's galaxy s3 b4 and yes,he installs apps on sd card without root access. so ur point about it being exclusive to china phones aint totally right.

if truly most samsung,htc and lg phones dont permit dat,then chinko don dey win be dat nah ....lol

The only advantage s duos has over LG is the front camera. Though it has a bigger ram but I will tell you this, I have not run into a situation where my phone would be slow cos I opened many apps. Besides if you have clean master, that's not a problem at all. On the other hand LG has a better battery and design, slimmy, and stylish. So. Personally both are very similar but I I won't pick Samsung over L5. So my advice is get a better one at close price to l5. Get an LG p715 aka l7. It is a combination of both LG l5 and s duos and upgraded. I swear by the God I worship, you won't regret getting an LG p715. The last time I asked for the price was this December and in kano it s still 36k. The best part of this phone is the battery. Very few android device have a battery of 2460mAh

M5 is brilliant... Go for it...I use it presently...and request for the flip case else they might not give you...they might even tell you it doesn't have one.
The battery is excellent..1800mah..works better that that value...

Am particular about jellybean and not ICS... Those phones don't permit users to move apps to sdcard..I don't know about ics cos I have only used jellybean all my life

actually, i saw some not too expensive technos with 1gig ram. Yeah av read about M5 specs But am unsure, in that i remembered when techno was just china phone where u cant download java games n most apps. Hope that doesnt apply to android? Hope its not that most apps cant run on it? And gpu aspect, can they play those hd games like samsung, lg, htc etc? And the most important, (why i fear techno the most), like we have it b4 in those small technos, such that when it falls, the screen gets spoilt with ink splashed on the screen like that sha n even u dont get to see techno specialist easily n even when u do, u get charged an amount that could get two nokia touchlites. Who can confirm to me that, the first day the M5 will fall wont be the day i will go bak to my nokia c5.
