bolt has definitely tightened his grip on the sprinting department. The guy just nailed his round 2 heat so effortlessly even managing to jog after 60 or so metres with an impressive 9.92 secs.
can't wait for the eagerly awaited finals. bolt surely is going to bring home gold (might even break the world record), Tyson might just need to concentrate on getting bronze as powell seems up for the task ahead as well (fingers crossed he doesn't panic once again)

@Mustay

atimes when u yap, I feel like wringing your neck  angry  tongue

imagine u quoting Obisia Nwakpa saying Nigeria is 10 years backwards in Boxing ?

isnt he the National Coach ? when he knew he couldnt deliver why didnt he just tell Yaradua that as per Boxing o . . .that hin 8 gold medals na long thing, say our Boxing dey tatters  shocked  embarassed

how is any sane mind supposed to take Obisia serious in this jet age ? someone who barely read Primary 6 ?

who told u that all successful athletes or sportspersons cut it as analysts or as coaches ?

let Obisia Nwakpa shut up else he will be mobbed when he comes back home  angry MADMAN !  angry

Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics - Boxing & The Rest by Akolawole(m): 5:59pm On Aug 18, 2008
@Doctor

I wonder for such comments.

Unknown to many, Nigeria government spend like mad on this preparation. If we messed up, the Coaches and the Athleths has to be blamed.

Frankie Fredricks foot the bill and fully prepare himself for tournaments and many athletes like that.
Re: Beijing 2008 Olympics - Boxing & The Rest by Mustay(m): 7:51pm On Aug 18, 2008
When did fred start footing his bills? In a country where unemployment is rife, how many athletes can sponsor their training? This stuff ain't easy. Before the Olympics, Fasuba had said he received 'invitations' to change citizenship. Buying airline tickets, getting accreditation et al ain't the effing business of athletes. These jobs can be delegated to ensure specialization if not for the selfish interests of the 'administrators' who know zilch about sports; not to talk of SPORTS ADMINISTRATION.

MUSTAFA . . .where u dey stay sef ? na Adesoye abi na Sunmola ?

what exactly is ur point undecided

Nwakpa tutored the worst set of boxers in the history of our boxing annals, and here u are yapping Sports administration bla bla . . .do u know how much was expended on our athletes for Yaradua to be demanding for 8 gold medals ?

did the stupid Nwakpa not know that our boxing was far behind when he took up the job and promised to deliver ? if our boys had done any better, would he be spewing the bunkum stewing from the rotten insides of his mouth ?

who the heck hired him ? that idiot should be sacked !

any coach that starts making silly excuses should be mobbed on arrival . . .WHEN WOULD WE START ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR FAILURES AND THOSE WE LEAD IN ANY CAPACITY ? angry
