The probability lies on you. It depends on how you can perform well in the PUTME. LASU is not FUNAAB---Your results will be pasted on its official website and the best candidates will be admitted. In other words, if your name is within the range of 1-10 in your prospective department, you're sure of getting admission. If it falls below, pray that your prospective department should have enough quota.

No magic in LASU admission for now. Your aggregate will be calculated thus: UTME carries 50% while PUTME carries 50%..... Candidate names will be arranged and admitted in descending order of their AGGREGATES. If you ask me, it's the best system one can ever think of.

If you can score 66% and above, you're going to find your name at the top.

As regards my application process, I registered as the normal UTME stuff; afterall I've completed my programme at The Polytechnic. Besides, many polytechnic students do reapply for UTME before they complete their programmes.

While I was doing my programme at The Polytechnic, two of my course mates got admission into university and they dropped their polytechnic programme.

I've seen HND guys that are also UTME applicants. I'm not saying that the programme is bad, everything depends on the future that one envisages.... If one wants to go into academic line, then one has to think twice (getting MSC with HND will take at least 5years of post HND graduation--Just to qualify as an applicant).

One of my friends on UNILORIN thread got admission into UI last year but chose to reapply for his prefered course at UNILORIN and has got admitted (he has even printed his ORIGINAL admission letter from JAMB). In other words, it's very much possible.

I even applied for DE as well.

So you can also make up for career difference with specialisation at master degree level and writing professional exams. Ican. AccA. Cisa. Cfe etc. Most important is that you have first degree. I av econs as my bsc degree too

As far as am concern beloved bro Poly life nd education is d best in research,practicals nd learning rigourously buh d Discrimination is Too much in Nigeria especially in d Civil service or Work industry [Whichever]

If u have money for PD go for it dan poly, nd if u in poly aiidy b crious about it nd come out wif strong upper or distinction..

Unilag Foundation is expensive nd tough...nd moreover its d same thing..if he starts d foundation nxt yr he will b in 200L same as Funaab if he goes fr dah nd Funaab acc is Ok too...It depends on his choice of skul buh i will advice him go fr Funaab
...coz if he goes fr d foundation he will still buy DE jamb frm nxt yr,do foundation exam nd still nt sure whether he will meet d cutoff to get admitted to 2ooL or dey will give him Acc..Y nt start frm 100L in funaab since u've bin admitted...

Tell dat your frnd to sell the admission nau. How people are so not appreciative of God grace in getting admission.

He has funaab (certainty) and want to pursue unilag foundation (costly and uncertain). The school you attended does not matter as far as career in accountancy is concerned besides no accounting courses run by university in Nigeria not accredited by NUC and perhaps Institute of chartered accountant of Nigeria.

Ability to prove yourself in labour mkt is what matter. Besides if the dream is to be a practising Accountant like me your frnd will write professional exams of ICAN or ACCA or CPA for global certification. Thank God For now that as much as the elite and those who have cornered our collective national wealth creates class distinction for their children through private nursery, primary secondary school and university, there is no professional bodies in all field of study for the rich. We all united at professional level. So let your friend go for funaab and study well to pass with good grade and continue his career to professional level cos thats the ultimate for accounting and finance professionals.
