I have never seen any heavy duty vehicle like trailers, trucks, tippers and caterpilars with V engine before.
Please i need people to explain the core reasons why engines of these heavy duty vehicles do not come with V engine options.

An inline 6 has more superior crankshaft main bearing support, that favour low speed, high torque applications a truck, tractor, coach etc demand. An inline 6 diesel will handle low speed torque better than a V6 diesel would, all things being equal. The crank journals are less stressed too, as there are more to spread the load. A V6 has less crank journals, so each one will be loaded more than in an inline 6.
