Guy, Pls Wen someone is trying to educate u jst open ur mind and don't b blinded with doubts.
This is CBN policy that cut across all d banks which kicked off last year but full implementation has jst begun dis yr.
If u r still in doubt, jst follow d advice of a poster, use ur card in other banks machine and type wrong pin thrice and c what d card will look like b d time it's sent to ur bank ,perforated.
I knw all dis cos am an insider.

Yes my Dear... Henceforth, retracted cards will be perforated, thereby rendering it unuseable... if ur bank hasn't started doing it presently, they will eventually... it is standard BEST practice. So play safe... never allow ur card be retracted by another bank's ATM or u say goodbye...
