Have been wondering what the secret behind GLO blocking of free browsing is, do they use to block the ports associated with every software they discover guys are using or what?, share your thought

you think the green boys are really tight?, if they are, then why will any newly discovered software with unique port work with GLO for free browsing till they get to know about it which later leads to the software been blocked?

I heard Green guys paid someone 40million for using squid to block the proxifier stuff. I hope he is really tight using squid.  Cos he has about 6000 ports to block and i don't think it will b possible. I just hope he will b able to handle the heat comming. Cos I know some members of these forum already has the new trick is just that dey are keeping it classified. Just imagine what happens when it gets to everybody.

FYI, Internet access make use of standard ports which end  users like you may not know because it can be configured @ back end. Hence u dnt need 2 block "all" ports but few ports dt give access, Anyaw Glo try,    but kini big deal if we dey pay dey browse anyway?

Also I av not seen real hacking as all this sware were nt coded by Nigeria bt downloaded via google, na still work sha cos

Any way, whether those swares are not coded by Nigerians, if you know how to, you can surely manipulate their configuration files most of which are hidden on our pc's which results in what most do call the HACKED VERSIONS.

Guys,instead of trying to ground glo (a full naija product)like mtn(its allowed) advocate cheap browsing guys.
I see every body trying to browse free, if you do, try to do a crash networking couse and learn to analyse packets.It sounds somehow, but guys with REAL ccnp knowledge should be able to do some analysis and check/open ports
and not waiting for some one to give u info on free browsing.

I totally agree with u if only we can work together we will be able to get around this green guys. But sha u know say 98% of Nland na OSHOFREE members dey only wait for the result and make a living out of it. You can imagine some novice told
me to bring 30k for a modem that can connect CDMA NETWOR AND GPRS the worst of all is that he claims he using it and the speed is up to 90-100gb You can imagine what nonsense? I no fit laugh . Guys if u are in let's put our heads 2geder in solving this issue of port blocking. After all na people like us dey employ put for there. 1 Luv.

if you're a glo user try dey keep una tricks tight. MTN na stupid network. The worse they do is make your line useless. I had to buy another sim to browse. But if i put my formal sim it just won't even connect to gprs, God pass them.

well i agree with you that if one can try to take a networking course, one will understand those tricks and will be able to manipulate one's way through the free browsing thing, but at the same time, if you research well, there are softwares online which can just process any networking action for you from reading packets, to scanning for open, closed ports etc, so, it all depends on you

thanks for that info, have been wondering about one MTN SIM of mine too, used to browse before but no more connecting at all, na them know sha, easy to get a new SIM, just na change na

You're welcome man. That's what they learnt newly. Lately,gprs signal comes and goes every few minutes. You just can't seem to enjoy browsing with MTN. If you want to download,this will just frustrate your life totally.
but zain mms still dey work. Soon i'll deploy activated and tested sim cards cuz it seems people are having problems browsing with it.

nigerians abuse the opportunity glo gave during your-freedom and proxifier when some guys are doing seminar between #10,000 - #15,000 and they even went ahead to advertise it on newspaper.
