Wait a minute, did I hear a certain Scummite say you guys played beautifully? Let me post BBC's report of the match! Manchester United had an uncomfortable start to the season as the champions were outsmarted tactically by Reading. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/6931068.stm I guess that basically summarises the match! So much for spending 50 Million pounds. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 7:00pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
BREAKING NEWS WAYNE ROONEY SUFFERS HAIRLINE FRACTURE IN HIS LEFT FOOT. Wazza could be out for 2-3 MONTHS. What an interesting season?? TEVEZ, It's time to step in and make a difference. @ Razorr, Shut ur traps. What has £60 mill spending gast to do with it? How many of the new signings played for Man United? Just Nani. Wait till Man Utd unveils the other ammos in their kitty. Just because u conceded 2 goals in 45 mins u are here shouting like a possessed monkey. |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Razorr(f): 7:03pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
What happened to the beautiful football you guys love to brag about? What happened to Ronaldo? Why didn't you play Tevez? I'm actually quite disappointed in Reading. They should have buried you. According to BBC: - The closest United came to scoring was in the first half when Ryan Giggs hit the post with a finely executed volley. "Sir Alex Ferguson may have spent £50m over the summer on strengthening his squad, yet the United manager was reduced to deploying substitute John O'Shea as a makeshift centre-forward in the second half." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/6931068.stm |

Razorr, get serious jo' ! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 7:08pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Razorr. Did you even watch the match?? Oh you waited till the match was over and started searchin for headlines! United played beautifully. Maybe too beautifully to our own disadvantage. Well was I expecting you'ld say anyway. And you just had to mention the 50 million, didn't you. Only Nani, played in today's game. All other 3 new signings did not. Oh i forgot you didn't see the match. So wait till they all play before you start using that line "so much for 50 million pounds". |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 7:09pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
I tell you Nani is cheap for 17 million pounds. He shouldn't have been let go for less then 30mil |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by RuuDie(m): 7:12pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Nani played well. . . . UTD played to their strengths but reading were resolute in defnce & very, very lucky 2 ! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 7:14pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
MATCH STATS MAN UTD READING 0 GOALS 0 9 SHOTS ON GOAL 2 15 SHOTS OFF TARGET 1 12 CORNERS 3 84 PASSING SUCESS 50 74.7% POSSESSION 25.7% 62.1% TERRITORIAL ADVANTAGE 37.9% @Razorr, How does this stat prove Reading outplayed MAN UTD? It was so obvious u didnt watch the match, You saw it on your battery-powered transistor radio. Stop listening to PUB GISTS . . . . @ Ruudie, Wazza won't be out for long. He is a young lad(21 years) and at that age u fight off injuries faster than pensioners like Shevchenko and Ballack. The worst that can happen is 2 months and we r lucky we got Tevez. Where Rooney left off, Carlitos will start so i really don't see Rooney's injury a big deal. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 7:16pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Na for Pub I watch am o. The grin on my face almost led to my lynching. Manchester United supporters were out for my blood men. Until I stand to my full height. Dem fear now. Na im I shout 'Come on United' for insurance |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 7:20pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Jackal dont mind Razorr. She jus loves anythin anti-united. Even if the news is fake, she believes it. Plain and simple, United was just unlucky today. Even Reading would be grateful for the point they got off United. The race jus started guys, dont fret. The league is still outstretched before us. PROUDLY UNITED |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 9ja4eva: 7:20pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
jejelolatu: Tevez welcome to the fray. Rooney get well soon. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 7:28pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
But on a serious note. I can see the potential in Nani. He is just a bit tentative at the moment, Rooney's injury actually solves a selection 'dilemma': Rooney or Tevez They really miss a pointman for real tho. Torres or Huntelaar would have been ideal. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by RuuDie(m): 7:28pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Not awfly worried. . . Just itching 4 us 2 notch us some victories & wazza na my MAIN MAN, 1 playa i wldn't trade 4 any other! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by somze(f): 7:29pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Come on guys Its only the first game of the season and means nothing. Its not even close to being regarded as important. So drop this anti-ManU sentiments. Sad to hear about Wayne - Yeeepeeeeee! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 9ja4eva: 7:32pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Saha Tevez, Dong, Ole Campbell , All raring to go.Wayne no doubt will come out better. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by RuuDie(m): 7:35pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
I like balance of UTD now, don't need no static pointman 2 stall mobility. . . . Much mo' effktive when a team is very mobile 'n dynamic. . . . Lots of potential scorers! |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 7:39pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Well I am not advocating no Shearer. The two I suggested are quite mobile while at the same time having an eye for a goal. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by somze(f): 7:42pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
ManU has depth and should not suffer much through injury . . . in theory that is |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Razorr(f): 7:49pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Oh Shrek. . . Poor Shrek. . . I'll miss you so much. . . |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 7:51pm On Aug 12, 2007 |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Razorr(f): 8:02pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
OK. I confess that I didn't watch the match. . . But everyone is saying you guys played rubbish. Even the pro-United sites are saying that. I'm just hearing that Reading was playing with only ten men! Is that so? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Razorr(f): 8:05pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
By the way, did you guys watch the game downtown at Stamford Bridge? Talk about beautiful footie! Who says Chelsea is boring? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 8:09pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Men Chelsea better buy a replacement defender worthy of the name. Ben Haim and Belharouz aint it. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 8:11pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Razor, Chelski conceeded two goals against a recently promoted team? I see Chelski struggling this season. I see chelsea coming 5th in the league. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by RuuDie(m): 8:13pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
Reading played with 10 men 4 abt 20mins only, its not as if they got d red card in half-1. . . . UTD played well enuff but like ur JM wld'a said "reading just came 'n parked their team bus in front of d goal". . . . |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 8:17pm On Aug 12, 2007 |
