As a matter of fact, statistics from Whoscored.com shows the top five Nigerian performers in this world cup as follows:

Enyeama- 7.81
Omeruo- 7.6
Ambrose- 7.5
Emenike- 7.4
Mikel- 7.2

Whoscored.com uses criteria such as number of tackles won, dribbles, pass success/accuracy,shots on and off target, aerial battles won, number of fouls committed to statistically assess the over all performance of player and teams. They give a better objective assessment of a player/team's performance than the bigoted and myopic opinions you get from other rating sites like goal.com.

Mikel might appear slow,he frustrates even me with his sluggishness, but we don't have any replacement for him,at the moment, statistically speaking,he is our best midfielder.

Haba, nd ur source didnt boder 2 giv u full details. Let me b of little help.

Starting line-up
Agbim, odunlami, egbeweke, yobo, oshiniwa, rueben, azeez, uchebo, uzonyi, musa, ameobi.

Dis should we us d 2014 wc.
Re: Nigeria Vs France World Cup (0 - 2) On 30th June 2014 by bizibrain(m): 9:26am On Jun 30, 2014
I would av been very optimistic but our defense is very vulnerable to one-two passes nd through ball.

I blame keshi 4 dis because our defenders av more quality dan Iran defenders. Just take a look @ hw cordinated iran defense is.

Ambrose is my phobia in dat defense, so far, he already caused 2 goals wit 1 ruled-out(dzeko) offside.

4 no reason should a full-back stay behind a center-back, because a center-back cordinate offside trap.

Against bosnia, omeruo was d one taken care of dzeko, omeruo happens 2 b d last Nigeria man, but omeruo lost dzeko b4 d ball was passed 2 dzeko, which makes dzeko 2 b in a clear offside, stewpid fullback ambrose place dzeko onside again. Perhaps is love 4 dzeko grin, so awkward d way he demanded 4 dzeko's shirt after 90 mins lik a pry sch son of a beggar.

Against argentina, Ambrose caused d opening goal, wen he stewpidly overlap nd lost posession without fast tracking-back.

Di-maria was free, nd up-tru ball was passed 2 him......bla,bla,bla...Gooal

If nt 4 ambrose nd our poor setpieces defending, we would av beaten argentina in an un4getable 2-0.

Supereagle av 3 problematic players, Mikel(No common sense), yobo (fantastic, but slow nd vulnurable 2 counter) nd ambrose 4 being senseless lately.

Tanxs 2 osaze dat makes ambrose look ok against bosnia, tnxs 2 onazi 4 helping mikel, nd tnxs 2 emenike 4 d 2 assist so far.

History is NOT in favour of france. The only other time france met Nigeria, they lost 1 - 0 to Nigeria. In the past two worldcup editions, france lost to 2 different African teams. . . The pressure is on France. - Klia road for Supa Higus. cool

Sincerely speaking I don't know where this rating is coming from, are they talking about pass to me, I pass to u, pass to the keeper he passes to u back, pass to d defender and that one passes to him back. No diagonal passes from him, no long range passes of 15m to 20m long, his passes make no single threat to d opponents, any attempt to pass a long range passes it landed on opponent head. I hate when many ppl say we don't have anybody who can play his role,so if Mike is injured now are we going to field ten players against eleven because we don't have replacement for him? Oga Keshi should just take bull by its horns and start him from the bench, this automatic shirt for our big pros is killing our team.

Lordabas: Brazil 2014 is the first time Africa is having two teams in the second round of the World Cup finals in the same competition.
I believe Nigeria will destroy France in the second round and Algeria will shock Germany as well.
That will set up a historic World Cup fixture in the quarter final…
Nigeria vs Algeria!
Nigeria through to the semi-finals.
I believe.

Statistics are objective and devoid of sentiments, they might not show you everything, but they point you towards the right direction.

Mikel, statistically speaking, remains Nigeria's best midfielder, and if fit, must start ahead of anyother Nigerian midfielder. If he isn't fit, then we must look for an alternative

Yeah this statistics don't win u a match, Spanish team come to mind against bafana bafana of south Africa they got all d statistics, possession, all the "no threat short short passes" and yet they were defeated, then it doesn't come as a surprise to me how they were disgrace in the first and second match by Netherlands and chile. So we dont need a midfielder that garners all his points from backwards passes,we need an active creating midfielder whose passes will pose a threat to the opponents.

Truth is its going to be a tough match, babatunde wouldn't be properly replaced by Micheal Uchebo. He practically was struggling during the final hours of Nigeria vs Argentina match. Mikel can't hold his ball for 2 secs without loosing it, Musa is fasting this evening. Sagna said he wont observe the Ramadan fast, and that dwarf, Valbueno does nothing but scare me, cabaye is off suspension and would likely play. Its going to be tough. But lets remember the statistics that I choose to follow and thats the fact that the Nigerian team, gets better by each match they play. We will support them and we will win. Its not going be a work over even for france.

Nigeria 4_ france 3 in penalties.

Of course I support that, backward passes is futile at this point. Don't know if and who would replace that vacant seat.

Anyway, as far as I remember, these boys (I don't mean the CHAN boys) don't lose penalty kicks. At least I can say that much about Emenike and Moses.
