Although I cannot vouch for the veracity of this story, I would have few regrets if Keshi were to resign. Admittedly, he won us the AFCON and deserves our commendation. But I think Nigerian football should have gone beyond the poor tactics and low technical output that I sometimes saw on display in Brazil. We cannot continue to bask in the AFCON glory, content on being local champions. A country of 170 million people has no business taking the like of Reuben Gabriel and Chigozie Agbim to the World Cup. Let's look for a tactitian who is well versed with the finer elements of the game and who is willing to scour the nooks of this nation in search of the very best possible talents available.
