Car experts in the house could you please help me by telling me whats wrong with my Honda 1998.
If its on idle the idle fluctuates up and down i.e it will be reving up and down continuosly when idle.

I would be grateful for any tip or assistance to help me overcome this probelm.

ive had similar problems wt my civic. There's a thing called idle regulator by the intake manifold area. Where the PGMI (programmed fuel injection is written) behind it is where its located.

Taking it out and flushing it out may help but you might need to get a new one.

Also check your belts! I mean A/C belt,alternator belt, fan belts! I had a similar experience with my car & as soon as my mechanic change the belts, the revving stopped!
