Our youth in my comminity just want to venture into massive fully mechanized maize cultivation. But some info are needed. 1. How many labourers are needed in a hectare of land. 2. How many tonnes will be expected from a hectare of land. bearing in mind that the farm is fully mechanized. Even plougher, harvester nd more machine have,been hired. |

If the farm is to be fully mechanised, then you just need the machine operators and probably assistants. With hybrid seeds, gd weather condition, good farm practice, a minimum of 5tone of dry grains per hectare is expected in a harvest. |
