Ethnicity, Religion Not Lagos HOMS Criteria– Fashola by teeebugs: 5:07pm On Jul 10, 2014 |
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola yesterday said ethnicity and religion are not conditions for benefiting from Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme (Lagos HOMS). Fashola disclosed this at the fifth raffle of Lagos HOMS held at Agidingbi area of the state where 102 new home owners emerged. He explained that the scheme “does not in any way discriminate on any grounds. It encompasses the diversity of our country. From the draw, we can see that applicants from Igbo, Hausa and Delta among others duly participated in the scheme and won in the process.” He emphasised that the scheme “does not ask religious questions. It does not ask ethnic questions. So, tell those who want to divide us by religion that they will fail. This housing scheme has further bound us together.” The governor also said the scheme had not been infected with bribery. “It is free from bribery and man-know-man syndrome. Applicants do not have to know any government official at any level to benefit from the scheme. “I do not know any state in the federation in the country where 200 homes are put in the market every month. www.monitor9ja.com 1 Like

Fashola can lie ? “We did not promise low-cost housing. What we promised was affordable housing and people should not accuse us of not doing what we did not promise. Fashola said he could not have promised low-cost housing when there was no low-cost land, no low–cost labour and building materials and when the exchange rate of our currency to others was high. So, who are the beneficiary of your houses, if the average Lagosians cannot afford it 3 Likes |

luvinhubby: ogun state is close to lagos state, and the cost of living is cheaper, common sense would tell you to move somewhere which is suited to your own peculiar taste. you have not proved the houses are ghost cities- if you have evidence nobody is living in them, post it here. "just because" some sections of the populace cant afford to live there, means the houses must not be built? where do they get you people with your warped thinking. |
