kokoA: Do coporate bodies sponsoring other FAs around the world interfer with their activities?

Meanwhile, I am insupport of the government's move. It is high time NFF get up and start sourcing funds for themselves.
yes, the current investigation into the 2018 and 2022 world cup bidding process was forced by FIFA sponsors.

Can someone tell me how this is FIFA's headache. The only thing that will suffer is Nigerian football. when CAF banned us sometime ago, who lost? Nigeria! during that period we had arguably the best Nigerian team ever that could have the nations cup at least once. NFF elections were just one month away. why didn't they wait to vote out the NFF board? FIFA cannot change the rules just cos its Nigeria.

My inchoate thoughts:

The UK has a lower power distance because the society is more skewed towards socialism than USA which is pure capitalist.

The reetards are even refusing a free healthcare system. undecided

UK has adopted a bit of socialism because of is higher ethnic homogeneity, the smaller population size and geography, its closeness to other socialist European nation and the rebelling against the old aristocratic system. US have challenges different to this.

The little bit of socialism and less capitalism has led to more favourable labour laws, which means I can basically tell my boss to fck off and I might still not get sacked .....joking. grin And they also have a generous welfare system.

In the US, they have looser labour laws and people can get fired more easily, which would mean you will naturally kiss arsse more. Worse still, when they have less generous welfare system if you lose your means of income. Secondly, capitalism also increases the divide between rich and poor, which would also add to the arsse kissing, hence more power distance.

Because of lack of aristocratic past and low homogeneity, then social mobility is likely to be more merit based. Unlike the UK where everyone on top is from a narrow clique of wealthy family and who all went to Oxbridge. Only about 1 former UK PM in the last 70 years or so did not go to Oxbridge. 90% of High court judges used to be from Oxbridge, now it has been forced down to 80% in the last 20 years. Just these 2 universities.

In the US, leaders can come from a wider spread of different backgrounds, regions and universities. Also the affirmative action practiced at university level there carries on into later career mentality. In the UK, if you did not go to Oxbridge, it is almost impossible to get some jobs. Simples.

What a moronic ediot!

Even Sepp Blatter said, shockingly, in public that he was suprised Messi was awarded, so how can you say it was a FIFA rigging?

Messi was selected by an independent Study Group that included Sunday Oliseh.

Then Sunday Oliseh is now on my hit list!
That study group should be disbanded like yesterday......they cannot study to save their lives angry
Sepp Blatter should go and sit down....he started the trend, and knowing him, I bet he was lying his behind off!

Giving that award to Messi made made it a huge joke, lOl cheesy
The surprise on his face was epic...
...okay, we know, it was his humility and not " you gotta be kidding me" that made him look surprised lipsrsealed

Nigerians scoring lower in masculinity may be connected to the low level of pragmatism. Maybe?

I just checked the criteria for masculinity dimensions:

"The masculinity side of this dimension represents a preference in society for achievement, heroism, assertiveness and material rewards for success. Society at large is more competitive. Its opposite, femininity, stands for a preference for cooperation, modesty, caring for the weak and quality of life. Society at large is more consensus-oriented."

Maybe in tough and suffering societies, if you are not one of the rich and you are part of the majority poor, you will need cooperation to survive on the long run. And also Africans tend to care for their old people as a community.

That said, I am surprised UK scored higher than USA on these criteria. undecided

So am I. That sounds more like the USA-I-can-do mentality undecided

Americans are fiercely independent. Self-sufficiency is a virtue and asking for any kind of help from anyone is a point of shame. Children are expected to move out of their parents' houses right after college. Those match the measuring factors for the "masculinity" score.

By contrast, Nigeria is a community-centric society. Asking for and expecting assistance is engrained. Children remain part of their parents' household until marriage. Different culture.

Edit: Ok, I just understood your post. I don't know anything about UK culture.

The problems I have with this fifa n Nigeria's interference saga is simple....
Does fifa which is based in Switzerland not bound by the laws of Switzerland? The federal government never took nff to court but a stakeholder did dat Hw does that concern d government?
A court of competent jurisdiction took a decision n fifa suspended Nigeria... wat I want to know is dat does fifa not obey laws that are instituted by the Swiss government? Fifa is full of bunch of hypocrites

BTW nice move by the fg...

The point of FIFA is that, any issue that would amount to the removal of leaders should not take place in any local courts. All should take place with board members participation under the rules stated by FIFA. If you do not like the outcome of that process, then you can go to FIFA. And if you are still not happy then you can go to the International Court of Sports Arbitration (or something like that name).

I will surprise you by saying that makes a lot of sense because imagine you allow each association to be subject to local laws, then you would have madness. The process created by FIFA creates some level of consistency and reliability.

How many nations are sane and have a sane justice system? How many would have corrupt judges who would make mockery of justice?

You will just have a frequent monthly change of FA officials and lack of continuity that it would affect the football in most countries. You will have the kind of madness we have when we let fucktards run things like changing coaches every few months, sacking coaches 2 months before a WC despite the problem being that the fucktards that doing the sacking are the ones that did not pay salaries or bonuses that led to poor performance.

How can FIFA let too much power sit in the hands of fucktards in societies that:

- Vote for Presidents that were on a charge for instigating election violence that led to the death of people?
- Vote for a President who when he was in-charge of his country's AIDS prevention programme said he had unprotected sex with someone he knew was HIV positive but he tried to prevent himself by taking a shower later?
- Vote for a President with no achievements, and who showed how stuuupid he was when the President was dead and the wife of the dead seized power with a cabal, all because they believe he has been lucky, his name is Goodluck so he would bring luck to the nation.

So, yes, FIFA is right and brilliant for centralising power as much as possible instead of distributing it around the world where we have many fucktards in position of authority. That is why football has been the most successful sports in the world.

The only problem with the centralisation is that the central powers themselves are corrupt to an extent. Only that their corruption is not as damaging as the one we will have in distributed power.

Maybe we would have Presidents just waking up one morning sacking the FA officials and appointing the heavy-makeup ashawo girlfriends of themselves and acquaintances to run football and loot as much as possible.
