Dramadiddy:wait..slow down.. if I have a non diatonic chord lyk say a G diminished or a ( A // F Bb B Eb ) in the key of Db, I can play any of the substitutions I create using your method in any open space and it will fit? |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Dramadiddy(m): 3:15pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
zbone:wait what I mean by open space is that there's a part in a song where you hear the "fa" sound for quite a long time, you can have one chord like F C E//A Db E A, an then substitute it.. Then it sounds like you're playing a lot of things.. |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by zbone(m): 3:23pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
Dramadiddy:hmm... I get you noww. tanxs |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Dramadiddy(m): 3:43pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
zbone:would have told you more things u cn do but the way it is in my head eh, like code.. But I'm very sure it will play out to you, don't practice it yet.. Just keep thinking and thinking until you've found out things to do with it |

@ Drammadiddy Thanks so much for taking ur time to explain. I got d Tritone stuff now... I've practiced it. But d main issue is knowing d right time to apply it in a song. |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Dramadiddy(m): 8:06pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
DeHero1:instead of playing ur "soh" chord like this "so re fa//re so ti, you can play it like this : fa ti//so re ti |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by DeHero1: 11:21pm On Jan 23, 2015 |

Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by gameboi: 7:47am On Jan 24, 2015 |
Dramadiddy:it depends on the Key tho'. On Key C, it would be D G B//F B. On Key F#, it would be Ab C F//F B. I'll leave you to guess why the tritone(F B) works on Key C and F#. I'll gladly accept corrections to the second use(i.e on F#). I just imagined it oh. @Karleb what was that Smallwood's book about? |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Karleb(m): 11:23am On Jan 24, 2015 |
gameboi: Just a foundational sheet music for absolute beginner, it helps a lot in terms of fingerìňg, timing and sight reading. Add improvisation to your video. |
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by gameboi: 11:47am On Jan 24, 2015 |

Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Karleb(m): 11:50am On Jan 24, 2015 |
