you have to consider the volume of the gas produced to...
like 20cm³ of oxygen will react with 40cm³ of hydrogen... and the volume of the gas produced is 40cm³..

so the residual gas is 40+20= 60cm³..
2H2 + O2==== 2H20
ratio 2......:...1....;......2
volume that reacted
.......40:......20............40
residual gas..
.........20:.......0.........40
volume left or residual gas will now be...
20+40= 60cm³

wow...i'm actually using further maths textbooks for prepation because most maths topics are better explained

Smiles..... we won't be given any specimen in Gce as we are not going to perform any laboratory experiment.
what we are going to do is very similar to what people call German obj.(fill in the gap questions)

lol... This is usually question 2 in the practicals (I think I'm right). It is the part that deals with the qualitative analysis of elements and substances
I usually joke with friends that that is where real chemistry is. chapter 5 of Lamlad chemistry(if you know the book) really do justice to that.or better still, you can get any genuine practical textbooks

But if you have any question you want us to discuss here, please don't hesitate to do post it

mathematics is straight forward...
There will be two papers.
paper 1 will contain 50 multiple questions from all area of the syllabus. This paper will carry 50 marks
paper 2 will consist of two parts..
part 1 will contain 5 compulsory questions that are elementary in nature. will carry 40 marks.
part 2 will contain 10 questions of greater length and difficulty.... of which candidates are expected to answer 5 questions... which will carry 60 marks..
I.e in total.. there are 150 marks....then your total score will be converted to percentage...
that's all..
