In as much as the black box won't reveal who shot the plane down. The cockpit recordings will confirm three things from the Russian military side of the story:

- Tell us if the airliner was re-routed from the normal route 300km over the war zone, since all the previous flights took the other route, by the Ukrainian air traffic control. Something the Ukrainian government has denied.

- It will tell us if Ukrainian SU-25s actually flew next to the airliner before it crashed. Something the Ukrainian government has denied.

- And what happened after the plane was hit before it crashed.

Pay attention to detail next time, bro.
