The way people celebrate child dedication has continued to baffle me,especially as such gatherings has been hijacked by politicians,even people that have not been so religious.Please good comment should be backed up with Bible quotations.thanks

I think it depends on how you want, whether you want an elaborate party or you can quietly take your child to church for your pastor to bless. Don't forget our fore-fathers use to take their children to their gods for the protection, that the same way christains take their children to church for blessings. 1sam 1:24 says Samuel was shown to the prophet Eli and he blessed him.
