Group Mobilises For Protest In US Against President Jonathan by ArabaONE: 4:34am On Jul 26, 2014 |
A group yesterday called on Nigerians in Diaspora to prepare for a protest against President Goodluck Jonathan in Washington DC. The Executive Director, Gatekeepers Foundation, Blessing Agbomhere, made the call in a statement in Abuja. Agbomhere said the protest became necessary due to the inability of the Jonathan’s administration to secure the lives and property of Nigerians. He said the protest was meant to demand immediate rescue of the over 200 girls in Boko Haram’s captivity since April and the recovery of the $20billion oil revenue unaccounted for by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The statement, entitled: “President Goodluck’s visit to the US: A call for massive protests”, reads in part: “This is calling on all patriotic Nigerians and Gatekeepers Foundation Volunteers in the United State of America with committed interest in the growth and development of our country to come out enmasse to protest rallies holding in Washington DC to demand that President Goodluck Jonathan Bring Back Our Girls Alive and bring back our US$20billion or resign. “The protest has become necessary as a result of the insincerity of the Jonathan-led government in providing security of lives and property in the country, while deliberately perpetuating and protecting corruption and corrupt government officials. “Therefore, we call on Nigerians in Diaspora, especially in the US, to come out with their placards to occupy the streets of Washington DC until President Goodluck is ready to Bring Back Our Girls Alive and Our US$20 Billion or resign.” 2 Likes |

Please the group can protest in all countries of the world for all I care. Those brainless idiots cannot intimidate GEJ to quit because the good people of Nigeria want him in that office. The bad, Wicked and evil people , can continue with their stupidity but for sure the good shall see the end of wicked one Day. 2 Likes |

Another anti Jonathan on the loose,is the USA safer than nigeria there are more deaths from gun related violence in USA than nigeria what would it take for this idiot to see that terrorism is a global phenomenon and the usa is not immune to it,if they are immune why are they now checking shows and belts at the airports,or how did the boston bomber carry out their terrorist act? Its obvious that some nigerians are involved that want a violent change. |

Theorists! Talk, talk people. If they are annoyed, they should take action by carrying guns and enter into Sambisa forest. The annoying thing is that most of these people can not even organise their homes. For instance, I have some neighbours (4 families) occupying a block of flats. They are always criticising the govt but the 4 of them can not come to agreement to pay their water rates and NEPA bills. Water works and NEPA officials are always disconnecting them. One day, I used their case as a failed govt and since then they no longer criticise GEJ in my presence. They are many like that staying in compounds who can not organise themselves to do the needful yet they will come on NL running their mouth like water tap which valve is damaged. Leadership is not as easy as punching the keyboard. 2 Likes |

Its obvious that some nigerians are involved that want a violent change. If only they can watch tv stations here and see the daily horrors reported here on the local tv stations which are not shown on cnn and co. Nigeria has its challenges no doubt about it but its just way blown out to a point of absurdity. Will obama come and dissolve the FGN after carrying placards here in states? If only these people know the type of attack Obama himself is receiving here over his own percieved cluelessness yet people back home that have no clue about his own fair share of criticism by his own people keeps looking at him as their saviour that has the nagic wand to solve nigerias problems, Its just so funny but the difference is that they don't export their local hostile news for the worlds consumption.. Solutions to Nigeria's numerous problems will not be solved by carrying placards on the street's of united states rather our problems will be solved by nigerians themselves when we collectively decide to drop parochial sentiments and interest and resolve to solve our problems. America has its own issue's and will not be expecting another country to come and solve it for them so y should some nigerians both at home and in diaspora nurse such illusions? After carrying the placards then what next? They go back to their various homes and thats it. We really need to sit up as a people 1 Like |
