All we can do now is look at the possibilities before us because we do not have all the details. But if you consider the following, you can decide:

- Kano indigenous citizens and residents are killed.
- Businesses and Kano economy is harmed.
- The attacks are aimed to spark religious conflicts.
- The attacks are making the Emirate and the State Government look bad.
- These attack will make it easy to flood Kano with Soldiers.
- The State is an APC State (APC governors are being bullied across Nigeria - if not impeachment, then state of emergency).
- These attacks will inflate Security Budget and accelerate the $1billion loan request (may even increase it).
- Some people need these conflicts to try and divide Nigeria.
- Some one wants to hold on to power.
- These attacks distracts Nigerians from the events of past misrule.
