Nigerian striker, Ikechukwu Uche scored for La Liga club, Villarreal in the club’s latest pre season game decided on Saturday.

Uche who was left out of the Nigeria squad to the 2014 Fifa World Cup opened the scoring for the Yellow Submarine in the second minute of the clash against Segunda (Spanish second division) club, Reus Deportiu.

It was the 30-year-old’s first game of the club’s pre season preparations.

Villarreal will now head to England for the next leg of their pre season tour where they are scheduled to face championship side, Middlesbrough and Premier League club, Swansea City.

Uche was the highest scoring African in La Liga last term with 14 strikes.
