I've devoured all Sheldons, and all Grishams (except one or two). Both authors write differently, and thus cannot be truly compared.

If I had to choose, I'll go with Sheldon.

Sands of Time was one of the best books I've ever been fortunate to pick up. .

There is no basis for comparison. Apart from that Sid's books are sensual, they are the BOMB!!!!
When i read a Sid, tis like am watching a film, the man researches well, has( or had since he z dead now) high govt connections; JG is good but he no near Sidney Baba (i have almost all JG's bks so i know what am saying)

Sydney.I think Grisham is too soft n he doesnt know how to twist his plot.How can u even compare them Sidney is a master storyteller n in a class of his own.

I have read more grisham that sheldon. its quite difficult to say.

There's no contest. Sidney is leagues away from Johnny boy. JG can't hold a candle to 'sidney baba'

i know this thread is old but i like "sheldon" hands down read "blood lines" if you can get your hands on it and tell me what you think

my dear,it should be Bloodline not Bloodlines,all the same ave read it and its a very interesting read.it keeps you glued from the first page to the last.Sydney's suspense is unmatched.Its un-put-downable

silly argument. YOU CANT COMPARE THEM. there is not basis for comparison. it shuda been Sidney and Ted Dekker/ Dan Brown/ Danielle Steele. Then John Grisham and James Patterson/Dan brown/ James Hardley chase (pple that write according to a flippin pattern) . Dan brown is in both cos he's a religious twister and he's a patterned writer.

as for this, sidney soo wins hands down.

The comparison should have been: James Patterson/John Grisham. John and Sydney are totally different genre authors!

sidney sheldon. Ted Dekker. They have staunch themes but theyr wide enuf to be flexible.

Writing about everything,

spies, aliens, etc is way too easier than writing for a particular topic.

Grisham was able to make waves by just writing legal thriller.
He can as well write spy boos with ease.

Sheldon is good but copied a lot of chase style.
Grisham has his own theme.
