Amateurish nature of Nigerian Politicians.

Gone were the days of sagacious statemen and professional politicians.

The great Amadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo (the brain box of the West), Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe (the Zik of Africa), Chief Anthony Enahoro (the Eagle of debate), Chief Ladipo Solanke (the silo of ideas), and their foreign counterparts, Lord Otto Von Bismarch (the iron Chancellor), Joseph Sterlin (Great uncle Joe), Queen Elizabeth (the virgin queen), Magareth Thatcher (the iron lady) Phillip Livingston (dale of Newyork) Jonathan Swift etc etc These were men who coordinated the affairs of their Country upon a particular principle and ideology for which they believe and are willing to lay their life for. They were very professional and skillful. They never see their opponents or critics as adversaries that must be destroy through public aspersion, blame games, or assasination but rather through doing their public administrative job so well that their oppositions often become timid.

However in the political turf of contemporary Nigeria, the lots of those who parade themselves as politicians and statemen are nothing but mere oppurtunists, megalomaniacs and charlatans.

They have no particular ideology by which to coordinate Nigerian affair. Thats why it is possible for them to prostitute from one party to another in search of candiacy. A very shamful and unprofessional practice that can not be found among responsible Politicians.

Contemporary Nigerian politician only know how to campaign with sharing of rice, pounded yam, gifts, money , as well as their usuall chorus "I will create road. I will fix water. I will build house for poor people" etc etc .
They have no time to publicly engage themselves in economic debates, intellectual reasonings or postulations of clear cut solutions to the various problems bedeviling our Country. Like my Comrade recently retorted : "how can Nigerian politicians give what they did not have" .
All they are good at is hauling insults at one another, character assasination, very ridiculous blame games and beat themselves with chairs and tables over sharing of our Oil proceeds.

What gives raise to ones concern mostly is their care free attitude about the next generation.
They care not whether the word "Nigeria" has become another synonym of "Corruption" in the world. They care not whether the next generations of Nigerians will be able to hold their heads up high among their contemporaries in Africa and the world atlarge.
All they care about is election and re election, sharing formula of Oil proceeds, and the preservation of themselves and their families.
Like earlier on stated, they are not statemen or worthy politicians, they are mere opportunists and power drunk fellows controlled by Capitalist god fathers.

The most perturbing part however, is the way Nigerian youths embrace politics. Seeking to wear the very shoes of these old pot belly charlatans.
Nigerian youths have come to see unscrupolous politics as the only way to achieve a greater height in life.
When the present did not care about the future, we were worried. But now that the future does not even give a damn about it self, what can we do ? We can but kneel and pray, for soon we might become a 'failed state' .

Nevertheless, there are those who are resisting the 'irresponsible mentality' . There are those who will never leave the path of sacrifice, honour and hope. There are those who seek to install a new order. There are those who seek to govern our beloved Country someday with the principles and ideologies they stand for and which they believe to be the most suiting to our circumstances. There are those who seek no crown nor glory, but the triumph of Justice, Equity and Sanity.
They are Elites of Change.
