i need help with this project topic "Pattern matching using Facial recognition algorithm"

i am having challenges with the coding aspect. any guru in the house? pls help!

ok i want to design software that would be able to identify faces in a still image or in a video. there would be a database that would have faces of people. the software should capture a face and locates it in the database.

something like that

i meant what programming platforms and technologies are you using.?? Is it a web based system or a desktop software that uses cloud services??

programming language should be java or c++ and no it's not going to be a web based system
