Elliotwiz1: It seems the dust is not finally settled over the impeachment of Nigeria Football Federation President, Aminu Maigari as 26 state football associations’ chairmen out of the 44 members met in Abuja on Thursday to nullify the impeachment procedure of the executive body of the NFF that impeached Maigari last week.
The meeting as scheduled was held at Serob Hotel, Wuye, Abuja Thursday but the press briefing fixed for 9am did not hold because the hotel was by that time cordoned off by men of the Department of State Security (SSS) and the chairmen loyal to Maigari had to relocate to the house of an influential member of the League Management Company (LMC)
By the resolution of the group Maigari was ordered to return to his post as the NFF President after 26 State FA chairmen rose from its Congress (meeting) in Abuja to announce the annulment of the impeachment of the president of the NFF.
Spokesman of the group and the chairman of the Abia State FA, Sir Ephraim Chukwuemeka in his address at the residence of the LMC chieftain, said the group took the action urgently as a result of the emergency congress earlier called by the executive committee of the NFF which had fixed an emergency congress for Thursday, July 26.
He said they resolved to reinstate the impeached Maigari after a proper examination of all the charges leveled against him which were found to be frivolous. He refereed to Article 28(j) of the NFF Statutes which he said that the approval of the yearly audited account of the Federation was ratified by the congress in their meetings in Kaduna, Port Harcourt and Warri during which no member of the executive committee raised any issue about the finance of the football house.
“That at no time during the NFF general assembly throughout these preceding years (2001, 2002 and 2003) did the NFF finance committee or the internal audit committee or the external auditors or the general assembly raise any queries with regards to the financial activities of the federation led by Aminu Maigari.
“In view of the forgoing, to reject in its entirety the alleged dismissal of the president of the NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari and the appointment of an acting president of the NFF in the person of Mr. Mike Umeh, the current vice president of the NFF or any other person.
“That the undersigned having constituted more than 50%+1 of the members of the NFF (as required by the NFF Statutes for taking valid decisions at the congress) and in view the mathematical impossibility of the remaining members to ratify he alleged dismissal pursuant to the NFF Statues, the president should immediately return to his desk and continue as the president of the NFF pending the elective congress of August 26 2014”.
The states represented that met and made the resolution included Rivers, Ondo, Lagos, Abia, Ekiti, Zamfara, Plateau, Sokoto, Kaduna, Cross River, Taraba, Nasarrawa, Katsina, Yobe Bauchi and Niger.
Also in attendance were chairmen from Kebbi, Adamawa, Bornu, Jigawa, Kano and Gombe, Ahmed Maude of the Nigeria Referees Association and Maiyaki Bawa from the Nigeria Nation Wide League were at the meeting. However, former international Dahiru Sadi representing players union and one Nuhu Tanko representing Nigeria National League also completed the number.
In a reaction to the meeting held by the states FA chairmen, acting NFF president Mike Umeh has called the meeting a ruse.
“Whoever is instigating these persons does not love Nigeria and should be advised to stop,” said Umeh in a media statement.http://m.goal.com/x/en-ng/news/4995888

Then, this

KickOffNigeria.com, the NFF claimed that it has
been alerted to a document being circulated by a
group of persons who claimed that an emergency
Congress of the NFF held in Abuja on Thursday,
31st July, 2014.
"The NFF Executive Committee rose from its
meeting of Wednesday, 30th July to say that the
emergency Congress had been postponed, and
duly apologized to members of the Congress,
while stating that the Congress would hold at a
later date," Chief Mike Umeh, NFF Acting
President, said in Abuja on Thursday evening.
"There was no Congress at all, and we urge
Nigerians to ignore the so –called decisions
contained in the document. A properly –
constituted NFF Congress would be convoked at a
date to be made known to the public soon.
"Whoever is instigating these persons does not
love Nigeria and should be advised to stop," he
added.
