ACCESS INTO GRACE

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into
this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Romans 5 1-2
Our text today reiterates that by faith in Christ we received salvation
and have access into grace; and it is in that grace that we stand.
This makes it impossible to separate the Grace of God from the
person of Jesus Christ. In describing Him, the Bible says He is full of
grace and truth (John 1:14). In other words, He is the embodiment
and fullest manifestation of the Grace of God.
God’s vision that we should be conformed to the image of His Son
Jesus Christ (Rom 8:29) is therefore a call to access His Grace
continually through constant and unbroken fellowship with His Son
Jesus Christ through His Word, in worship and in prayer (1Cor 1:9).
It is important therefore to realise that the time spent fellowshipping
with Jesus each and everyday is not a mere religious activity. Rather,
it is God’s prescription for sustaining and even increasing our access
into His Grace. This should give you a new sense of purpose and
determination in taking your devotion and quiet times with
seriousness. Come boldly to access God’s Grace today!

GROW IN GRACE
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of
our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him
be glory both now and forever. Amen.” -
(2Peter 3:18)
Grace is the authority to use God’s Power,
and as we see from our text today, God’s
will for us is that we grow in grace. In other
words, God desires that we grow in authority
over the elements of this world as we go
deeper in our fellowship with Jesus Christ.
The essence of fellowshipping with Jesus is
to know Him more and to be transformed
into His image. Yet, it is not a mere
awareness of Jesus that produces grace but
the knowledge of Jesus Christ by deep
acquaintance is what transforms a man into
the image of Christ and multiplies grace
upon his life. To grow in grace therefore, we
must grow in the knowledge of Him. Glory to
God!
This understanding assures us that God will
not deny us of the grace we need when we
fellowship correctly with Jesus Christ. Even
so, as we continue in fellowship with Jesus
Christ in worship, in prayer or through His
Word, we will begin to grow in grace and
experience a greater manifestation of God’s
power in our lives. . Halleluyah.

GOD'S WORD DELIVERS THE VICTORY

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.” John 8 32
Our declaration of faith in accepting Jesus
Christ as the Saviour ushered us into a life
of victory, as salvation ushers into a life of
complete or total victory over the world, the
flesh and the devil. In order to experience
that victory however, the believer must not
only know the facts of his salvation, he must
understand it, because without revelation, he
may not experience that victory. He must
possess revelation knowledge about his
victory, so that he can experience it.
Our text today implies that ignorance creates
the perfect environment for the devil to
thrive and keep men in bondage, but the
light of God’s Word makes it possible for us
to recover ourselves, opening our eyes to the
areas in which we have been deceived and
helping us to retrace our steps. The entrance
of God’s Word brings light and when this
light comes, every inconsistent thought
pattern ceases, demons of darkness bow,
and our victory is made manifest. Glory to
God!
This places a demand on you as a believer.
Your desire to experience complete or total
victory over the flesh, the world and the
devil must reflect in your hunger for the
truth of God’s Word because God’s word is
the vehicle that delivers the victory for which
you are entitled. That hunger should drive
you to create more time to fellowship with
Christ, study the Word and meditate more on
the message for the day. This is how to
experience victory today. Amen!

MEDITATE YOUR WAY OUT
“And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”-
(Romans 12:2)
The human mind has the ability to relate
with and accept the things in its natural
environment. However, in relating with the
things of this world, it takes in the fear,
doubt, worry, anxiety and lack, which are
consistent with the world in which we live.
These things gain ground in the human
heart so much that they make it difficult for
faith to reside therein. Yet in walking with
God, faith cannot be compromised. Our text
today opens our eyes to the way out of this
– renewing our mind with the Word of God.
Meditation involves the conscious effort to
convince the mind that the Word of God is
true. It has to do with properly considering
the Word of God and reiterating it until it is
assimilated. It is what we must do to purge
our minds of old thought patterns and
beliefs which are consistent with happenings
in the world, but inconsistent with the Word
and promises of God.
Meditation is however incomplete until the
mind is fully convinced. This suggests that
it is what we must do continually, day and
night, until the Word of God dwells richly in
us and begins to make us respond to the
situations of life just like Jesus Himself
would. This is how to overcome the fears of
this life and live in the victory that we have
in Christ. Halleluyah!

The study of God’s Word is only a mere
intellectual exercise if it does not culminate
in obedience to what is written therein. As
seen in our text today, Jesus likens such a
practice to building an edifice on sand,
which without the necessary foundation
would not stand the test of time, as the
storms of life would bring it down in due
course.
God’s Word was given us to transform us
into the same image with the Father. In
studying the Word of God therefore, your
focus must be on discovering the principles
that unlock God’s plans, purposes and
provisions, so you may begin to apply them
to every area of your life.
Obedience to the Word of God is essential to
growing in the grace and power of God. Only
those who observe to do all that is outlined
in the Word can make their ways prosperous
and enjoy the Grace of God (Joshua 1:.
You must therefore settle it in your heart
even as you step out today to obey the voice
of God’s Spirit, and do as He instructs no
matter the obstacles or challenges. No
matter what you face today, do as the word
prescribes and you will blessed in all your
deeds. (James 1:25)

GRACE COMES THROUGH THE WORD
“And now, brethren, I commend you to God,
and to the word of his grace, which is able
to build you up, and to give you an
inheritance among all them which are
sanctified.”- (Acts 20:32)
There is a strong connection between the
quantity of God’s Word that a man has and
the measure of Grace that he is able to
access. Paul in our text today tells us that
God’s Word has the ability to build us up
and deliver the promises of God into our
lives. This goes to say that the more of
God’s Word we have in us, the more of His
Grace we can access. Glory to God!
God’s Word opens our eyes to the riches of
His Glory. This builds our expectation,
activates our faith and puts us in a better
position to access His power. Each time we
meditate on the Word of God, we see
possibilities; our minds are renewed and so
is our vision. We are able to see into the
plan of God and thus cooperate with His
purpose for our lives. Halleluyah!
Therefore, it is imperative that you give due
diligence to the study of God’s Word today
and everyday. Commit yourself to meditating
on the principles written therein throughout
your day, for by so doing, you would begin
to experience victory in all areas of your life!

TODAY ON METAMORPHOSIS

PARTNER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
for as many as are led by the spirit of God,they are the sons of God
Rom 8:14

Walking in and constantly enjoying the
Grace of God requires that we both walk and
work with God’s Spirit. Our text today shows
us that only those who know the Spirit of
God and consequently yield themselves to
Him can be called sons of God. In other
words, they are those who have unhindered
access to the power of God. Glory to God!
One of the reasons God gave us His Spirit is
so we might be brought into the full
knowledge of who we are in Christ Jesus,
how much He has blessed us, and the
authority that we have in His Name (1 Cor.
2:12). It is the Holy Spirit that makes God’s
Word come alive in our hearts. Not only
does he nudge us to obey God’s Word, He
also strengthens us in carrying out the
instructions of God. Yielding to God’s Spirit
therefore involves listening for His voice and
obeying His biddings.
As you spend time fellowshipping Jesus in
prayer, meditating on the Word or in
moments of worship today, become sensitive
to the voice of God’s Spirit and be ready to
carry out His instructions. As you partner
with God’s Spirit in this way, you would
begin to enjoy a deeper level of walk with
God and grow in His Grace. Amen!

Understanding the word is the way to deal with satan. Jesus defeated the devil thrice in one instance simply by stating what is written. God's word spoken from a believing heart is more potent enough to cast out the devil.
Deliverance simply is rescuing someone out of satans trap. While that might happen by the hand of God's minister, the same person being delivered can actually deliver himself also by finding out what God has said about the situation, believing it, confessing it and insisting on it until its done. This is personal deliverance.
What struggles and circumstances have held you down all these while? No devil can stand the man that knows God's word,believes it,confesses it and insistes on it. Consistently speak out God's word upon your situation and against whatever power of darkness standing in your way today and you will secure your deliverance and prosper according to the will of God. You don't always need someone else to deliver you. You can deliver yourself by the word. Glory to God.

KNOW GOD SCIENTIFICALLY

Our text today instructs that we in the grace of God by growing in the knowledge of Jesus christ. This suggests that there are different levels of knowledge and consequently different levels of grace and access into God's power.Greek words for knowledge include ginosko 'Awareness(Matt 9:30), Eido 'Revelation(Acts 20:29), and gnosis 'Scientific knowledge based on experiments and proofs(2pet3:18)
Knowing God scientifically therefore involves searching out God's word and experimenting with it until you obtain proof of its potency.
Therefore refuse to know God through others experiences.No matter what you are facing, God's word can address it,you just have to search specific scriptures that pertain to that issue now and let those scriptures fuel your faith and and influence your thinking and your speech henceforth. God's word works;its time to experience it.

STAND UP TO THE CHALLENGE
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done
all, to stand.

The purpose of the power of God is to use it
when we face situations or challenging
circumstances. In fact,the greater the
trouble, the greater the potential for faith
development. Abraham, a man of great faith
was 70 years of age and yet without a child,
and even those Jesus attributed great Faith
to in the Bible were people with great
challenges. This shows us that the bigger
your faith, the bigger the challenge that
comes to prove it.
Christianity is a responsibility. Hence as you
grow in the grace of God, more of His power
is released into your life,qualifying you to
handle difficult situations. It is therefore
unlike a believer to be afraid or cry in the
face of tough situations, because in reality
our medals of victory come from tough
situations that we have dealt with.
Therefore whenever you are faced with
situations that seem to defy regular
solutions today, bring out your faith and use
the grace of God. Stand up to the challenge
and speak the word of God with boldness.

YOU WERE MADE TO BE LIKE GOD

image, after our
likeness:” Genesis 1 26
In God’s original design, man was made in
His image (look and
response) and likeness (type). In other
words, man was made to
be like God. That design was however
altered when the first man
sinned. He lost both qualities and we notice
that after Adam’s
sin, his children took up his own likeness,
not that of God (Gen.
5:3). Yet the desire of God was that man
would be His type, have
His look and also His response. This is the
reason God gave us
His son Jesus to bring us salvation.
Being born again or receiving salvation is
what restores a man to
the likeness of God because it gives him
God’s righteousness. It
is what qualifies the believer to be called a
child of God, having
been given the nature of God. By receiving
God’s nature, man’s
dominion over all things is restored.(Gen
1:28)
So today, if you are saved or born again, you
need to reconsider
your salvation in this new light. Having been
restored into God’s
likeness, your dominion over all that was
created is restored. As
a God-type, you have access to the power of
God, and it is time
to take on the look and response of your Father as you grow in fellowship with Him. You were made to be
like God, so let this
thought guide your words, actions and
response as you go about
your business or assignment today. On the
other hand, if you are
not saved, please call the number on this

MIGRATE FROM KNOWLEDGE TO FAITH

“For unto us was the gospel preached, as
well as unto them: but the word preached
did not profit them, not being mixed with
faith in them that heard it. Hebrews 4 2
It is quite possible to consent to a
statement of fact and yet not believe it. A
student may agree with Science in saying
that man evolved from some ape-like
creature just to pass an exam, yet within
him he feels that this is not the true picture
of things. Now, while a student may get
away with that state of mind, a Christian
cannot.
Mental assertion or mental assent is not the
same thing as believing. Our text states
categorically that those who receive the
word of God without the necessary believing
heart, cannot benefit from that which they
received. A Christian will never experience
what the Word says until he succeeds in
convincing himself that God’s Word is true.
This happens in meditation where he
carefully considers God’s Word until he
believes and assimilates it.
The power in the Word of God is only
released when it mixes with faith in the
heart of those who hear it. The emphasis
therefore, is not on stuffing up your head
with scriptures, it is on gaining the
understanding of what you study through
meditation until you believe it. This is what
gives you more access to the power and
grace of God. Let this be your focus today
and always. Halleluyah.

COMMISSIONED WITH POWER
Matthew 28:18
"And Jesus came and spake unto them
saying,all power is given unto me in heaven
and earth,Go ye therefore and teach all
nations.."
An ambassador is never re
ceive in his own
name,but in the name of the one who sent
him. He is esteemed and revered based on
the power wielded by his country and not
his own personal appearance. Consider the
statement of Jesus Christ in our text today.
He says all pwer in heaven and earth is with
Him,and with such power He has sent you to
stand for Him. Wow!
This is the understanding that makes you
trample upon the devil and put all
situations under control. It is the revelation
that makes you see how that you can be
such an effective witness for Christ,bringing
down every stronghold of sin and helping
others find light. Jesus Christ has
commissioned you with power to be His
witness on the earth. It would therefore be
an error towake up everyday without the
consciousness of the power backing you on
the assignment for which you have been
commissioned.
When you open your mouth to preach the
Gospel today,do so with utomst confidence.
As you pray for a sick colleague or friend
today,command the sickness to go with all
boldness. As you hand out this leaflet
today,do so with confidence. You are an
ambassador for Christ and all His power has
been deplyed for your use. Today is the day
to get results. Glory to God!

TODAYS DEVOTIONAL.

BE FAITHFUL WITH YOUR CALLING.
1 Peter 4:10.
"As every man hath received the gift,even so
minister the same one to another,as good
stewards of the manifold grace of God. "
Usually,when the word 'calling' is
mentioned,many think in the direction of full
time pastoral ministry,yet both are not
exclusively synonymous. When we received
Christ as Lord and Savior,we also received a
measure of grace individually(Eph 4:7). That
gift grace is to help us carry out certain
aspects of Christian Service more effectively
than others. In other words,it is customized
to our calling.
In our text today,Apostle Peter stressed that
we ought to minister to others with the gift
grace that God has given us. By referring to
us as Stewards,he implies that we would
give account to God on how faithful and
fruitful we became our calling. It is therefore
imperative that we be faithful with our
calling by ensuring to serve in His house
diligently with whatever gift grace He has
given to us.
So in what area has God given you a greater
measure of grace than others around you?(1
cor 12:4-11). How faithful have you been in
utilizing those gifts to edify other believers
in the body of Christ? God has designed you
to participate in the spread of the Gospel
using the grace He has given you; it is time
to give yourself to Him by being actively
involved in Kingdom expansion today.
ISAIAH PROPHESIES: May your Christian
walk be fruitful in Jesus name.
DO THIS: Consider those things you do
effortlessly,those things you have grace to
do and evaluate how much has been utilized
in the direction of touching lives.
SAY THIS: I decree and I declare that I am a
good steward.

TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
LOVE IS OUR REASON

“We love him, because he first loved us.” 1
john 4 19
So many do not experience the rest and
fulfillment in serving God because they feel
compelled to obey an endless list of rules
and regulations without which God would be
mad at them. They see God as a powerful
dictator and thus live in fear and constant
guilt. Yet, the Bible paints an entirely
different picture when He talks about our
relationship with God, our Father.
When service to God is something done out
of fear or compulsion, there is bound to be
fatigue and murmurings and ultimately
backsliding. Our obedience to him ought to
be a love affair and never a burden. We serve
Him because we love him and we know that
we owe Him our lives. Often times, and
whenever the need arises, we gladly and
willingly give up what we have as long He is
the One who has need of it (Acts 2:45)
because we love Him. Some persons wonder
why some of us are able to give Him
anything He requires of us, anytime He does;
Love is our reason This is the true picture of
what a relationship with God entails.
There is a whole new depth in God that you
can attain when you learn to love Him. You
can take the rest of the day to meditate on
this truth and let it spur you on to a greater
level of love and commitment to Him and to
His course.
WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN
TO THIS): May your love for God be real and
not forced in Jesus name.
PLAN TO: Evaluate the kind of love you have
been practicing. Was it forced? If yes, begin
to think of God as your father rather than as
a Judge.
SAY: I decree and I declare that I am fulfilled
in my walk with the Lord.
