In the yoruba culture,those that eat bitter kola should not curse other people as it is believed that such thing will happen as they say it.

It is also used in praying for people most especially when the elders want to bless someone.It is also believed that its a good cure to cough.
The Yorubas call it Orogbo.

What is Bitter Kola called in your native language? Is there any importance attached to it?
