The leadership of the People's
Democratic Party in Nasarawa
state Thursday led thousands of
its supporters to a rally to throw
their weight behind the failed
impeachment plan by its 20
dominated members at the state
House of Assembly.
The rally which started from the
party's secretariat along Jos road
and terminated at the state House
of Assembly Complex along Lafia,
the state capital, was however
peaceful.
Addressing supporters during the
event, Chairman of the party in
the state, Chief Yunana Iliya, said
that they were at the Assembly
complex to support their
members to go ahead and do
everything that is
constitutional to impeach
governor Al-makura.
Chief Iliya said that impeachment
process was a constitutional issue
and urged the lawmakers not to
succumb to threat and
intimidation by the APC led
administration in the state to drop
the matter.

This is to show how unruly and unlawful the PDP as party is. It also goes to show that the PDP is behind the current impeachment saga across the nation. So long as the panel have cleared Al Makura of any wrong doing, any further action of the PDP led federal govt against Al Makura will be declared illegal, Null and void by the court. So they should allow peace reign by accepting defeat in an attempt to oust the governor.
