The fear of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) may be the begining of knowledge. This was the case as our site workers were seen fleeing a big snake that emerged from a nearby forest area at our Snow Gardens Estate site at Oke-ore, Ota in Ogun State; an event that would ordinarily have seen them display their attacking prowess to eventuallly make a feast of it or sell it at the local market for 5000NGN or more not for the fear of contracting the dreaded disease that roam our streets. Though Snakes have not been scientifically labelled as vectors of the disease, the workers believe totally avoiding wild animals as a preventive measure is obviously better than cure'. They were very wise to run from that snake. It is a green mamba, whose venom kills just twenty seconds after the victim is bitten, from multiple internal organ failure and massive internal bleeding, MUCH faster than even the deadly Ebola fever.

The green mamba has a very distinctive color pattern, which is clear in the photograph. The last 6-inches or so of the tail is pure black in color, and the rest of the body ranges from deep green to yellowish green, with black scale patterns clearly evident in the photograph above.

Having shot a number of green mambas, I have examined them very closely, and I can also attest that they are the ONLY species of snake that will NOT flee when shot at, but will rather rush TOWARDS anyone who misses with the first shot.

I was wrong, green mambas exist
But even at that, green mambas are restricted to the areas shaded black.

No sir, I just shoot snakes known to be poisonous whenever I meet them, so that I don't meet them again.

Regardless of what your map depicts, the green mamba is known as "ejo ife" to most Yoruba tribes, all of whom live in Nigeria.

That is cool. Grab a green mamba when next you see one, and count how many seconds you live before you cannot count any further. Write the results on a piece of paper as you fade out, so that record can be sent on your behalf to this forum, for our enlightenment after you have been buried.

Convincing a total stranger of anything has never been an over-riding objective for me in this anonymous forum.

Please don't forget to leave your test results for us to study, after you grab that green mamba.

you can't tell me about snakes, I can tell you the chemical composition of every snake's venom, their lethal concentration and their mechanism of action, I once studied the phospholipases of most snake venoms, lemme leave you in your ignorance.

mr no snake venom iz capable of killing any bdy in 20sec o The inland taipan is considered the
most venomous snake in the world;
based on the median lethal dose value
in mice, Its venom , drop for drop, is by
far the most toxic of any snake – much
more so than even sea snakes .
And it has the most toxic venom of
any reptile when tested on human heart
cell culture. Unlike most
snakes , the inland taipan is a specialist
mammal hunter so its venom is
specially adapted to kill warm-blooded
species .It is estimated that one bite
possesses enough lethality to kill at
least 100 full grown men, and,
depending on the nature of the bite, it
has the potential to kill someone in as
little as 30 to 45 minutes if left
untreated. It is an extremely fast
and agile snake which can strike
instantly with extreme accuracy,
often striking multiple times in the same
attack. d black mamba iz far more dangerous dan d green mamba

For once, Jakumo goofed bigtime!
That is not a green mamba.
Green mambas are restricted to East Africa and do not grow more than 7feet, max.
That snake up there is much longer than 10`

But this developer is not a wise one.
You are advertising your building estate but at the same time telling us it is a snake infested one.
How dumb

All you city slickers can holler all you like, but when I am in Nigeria, I live in the muffugin' BUSH, where I navigate by day AND in the dead of night, shooting and harvesting both on land and on water with confidence that only comes from lots of hands-on experience. I have shot and killed several green mambas during daylight hours, and confirmed their species identity from photographs in books on the subject. If you prefer not to believe this fact, I have no objections whatsoever.
