Wallie: Anyone who has never experienced the utter chaos and panic of a full-blown firefight would have trouble understanding that much of the shooting is not even aimed, but intended to pin the enemy down to facilitate an advance, rapid change in firing positions, or a tactical retreat, while firing in "spray and pray" mode, most of the time now even knowing how many kills were actually made. 4 Likes |

Chucky234, Deepest sympathy and condolences on your irreplaceable loss, your Father has indeed paid the ultimate price for this nation, over two decades has put his life on the line for this nation, without commensurate reward, without proper commendation I SALUTE YOUR FATHER, VALIANT SOLDIER OF NIGERIA I empathise with tears for you, my Father was an officer in the British army but did not get into harms way to the degree of your Father, yet I remember moments of anxiety. I cannot even fathom what you're Father and your family have been through all these years. I thank you on behalf of all Nigerians May your Father RIP Revealed Incredible Personality, that he was. 3 Likes |

seaman007: 30 to 60 bullet for each soilder Even if you haven't been in the army at least don't you watch movies? When you are one of those ambushed with bullets flying right, left and centre of which you need to keep firing to keep them at bay. You will understand but meantime just ne quiet for now. We are grieving. |

Ibnsultan: @madamoringo. So on point in some areas. Our troops go in blind and deaf. About leaving the job. Who's going to defend the country Yes Sultan, good question. Keep in mind that I am not unaware that the Army and our forces are there to defend the country but if the country represented by its leadership will not defend and care for our Forces, then they have every right to refuse to be sent to certain deaths collecting 500 / day (~ $ 3 / day) while the same country and leaders loot billions of dollars per day! 1 Like |

EasternLeopard: This man! You are a pathetic human being!! No matter what, you are supposed to empathise, sympathise and condole with the OP first and foremost. You are supposed to give him the benefit of a doubt. It's not easy for someone to just come and claim that his father is dead with the aim of bringing the president down. Even then, the topic is not yet on front page. Shows it's still being monitored. Be careful!!! 3 Likes |

chucky234: He called me some weeks back and was complaining about the poor and inadequate amunition given to them, in Liberia and Sierra Leone was more than enough bullets for them to fight with but here they are given 30 to 60 bullets each day. The bolded is the most annoying place... It may not really be GEJ's fault, but I know you are in pains. The generals are there. Its their work.. Take heart. This sort of war ought to be prosecuted with reckless abandon against the insurgents. Every soldier should have every form of weapon and ammunition in excess.. |

Your dad was a warrior's warrior. His selflessness, bravery and sacrifice is the substance upon which society is built upon. Heros like him have guaranteed our safety and give us the opportunity to come online and make noise from the comfort of our homes, bars etc He has done his duty to God and State and has gone to rest in the bosom of the Lord. God bless and comfort you all. Romans 13:3-4 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. |
