The insurgents and officers of the Nigerian army are currently battling it out in Gamboru, Borno

Barely 24 hours after Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau declared an Islamic Caliphate in Gwoza, Borno, the sect is again involved in a power tussle with Nigerian troops.

According to reports, a gun battle is
ongoing in the Gamboru area of the state between soldiers and members of the sect.
The militants were said to have attacked the area at about 5:30AM this morning and they were met fire for fire by the officers.

Boko Haram released a new video
yesterday, August 24, 2014 where it
declared Gwoza an Islamic Caliphate.
