I have seen that this politics section is becoming flooded with unfounded rumours and unverifiable sources meant to weaken the sovereignty of this nation and to create unnecessary fear and dissenchantment with Authorities.

We shouldn't be this daft, how can soldiers defect to Cameroun, and suddenly the Cameroonian gendarmes' will absorb them immediately to the point of redeploying them.

Stories like these are what make think that APC and the Western Media are only pumping Propaganda into the polity. I am not partial to Nigerian political parties however the actions of APC governors in terms of development has me tilting towards them. You APC guys should stop spreading unconfirmed news so you won't lose the support of sympathetic people like me. Stop it.

Some 480 Nigerian
soldiers have fled
into Cameroon

Cameroon's army
has said.
Army spokesman Lt Col Didier Badjek said the
soldiers had been disarmed and were now being
accommodated in schools.
Clashes are said to be continuing in the border town
of Gamboru Ngala.
Boko Haram on Sunday released a video in which it
said it had established an Islamic state in the towns
and villages it controls in north-eastern Nigeria.
The group's five-year insurgency has intensified in
recent months despite the deployment of thousands
of extra troops to the worst-affected areas.
Last week, a group of soldiers refused to follow
orders to go and fight Boko Haram, saying the
militants were better equipped.
Insurgents also seized one of Nigeria's two main
police training academies, which is near the town of
Gwoza, captured earlier this month.

Apologies. I hereby retract that statement. I didn't see the previous thread before. The story sounded really incredulous. Too incredulous in fact! I thought it was just propaganda cos i couldn't imagine things had gotten this bad. When i finally saw the thread, i couldn't talk for 10mins. I was just shaking my head.
