Only girls who have unrealistic expectations think so. An intelligent, hard working, modest and well-mannered girl would get a husband sooner. when you consider the general population of men, remove those who are gay, remove those who are unserious, remove those who are already married to one non-human thing or the other (eg p.orn), remove the ones who have sworn never to marry until one unobtainable goal or the other has been met (eg world peace), remove those who will never marry until they've made their first billion or killed off everyone on the planet (whichever comes first), remove those who are too ornery to marry, remove the constant rabble rousers on nl, remove the ones married to various invisible "spiritual" spouses (aka witches and wizards),all these things contribute towards creating a man scarcity while lowering the overall availability of eligible males to seek someone's hand in marriage .
