KriTic24A:

Elections are around the corner, get ready to be deceived if want to.
As it was in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011, so it has been to date, August 2014.

How do we know it won't remain like that after 2015 elections?
For me, i don't get carried away by any flash-of-action-cum-real.
I believe in a process.

What happens to the old transformers that have been overloaded over the years, which most of the time got exploded or the weary cables that can gets cut off by reason of the slightest spark?

Are they not suppose to be replaced before we start the celebration?
So, to me, if the process is not put in place, acts of sabotage properly and effectively checked, negligence to duty seriously frown at, fraud and raketeers severely punished, it is still an ELECTIONEERING RUSE.

When some thieves who sat quielty in office had monies raked off some people stashed in their accounts, you don't expect them to work for others.

thumbs up ....took u for someone else matey grin

All na lie they have been promising like this since 1985. What can we do them?
unapologetic:

I do not believe that October is a visible date though. we've once been promised uninterrupted power supply before the end of 2013 to mid 2014. alot of towns and villages still lives in darkness.

Good one bro I'm ashamed of this country lies!

philips70: [b]4500 Megawatts which in itself is doubtful and this people still come on air to celebrate it with definite promises. In a country of about 170million people. Yet Okonjo Iweala and her friends are celebrating a rebased GDP that doesn't show any value on the lives of the citizens. South Africa with a lesser population produces about 8X this amount without all this hullabaloo. Below is Southie's production capacity..

the GoodLuck Jonathan's government is the best in the history of Nigeria....Hausa have killed us,the problem we are all suffering today is what the Hausa's and the Yoruba did....but God will deliver us through this new government,we need to support him especially the youths who want to enjoy the country in the future

Any administration that solves the power issue in Nigeria permanently automatically becomes the best since independence IMO.

If this current government gets it done, then I will definitely say....

am not disputing the fact that he has performed well in some areas but his performance in the power sector is a big disappointment.

All places in nigeria cant have steady power simultainously, its a gradual process, like someone said here, there is steady power in kaduna city, me i know of durumi phase one/ area one and gwarimpa cos i have stayed there, you are sure of 19hrs per day, kubwa, kaduna road etc is same cos i have friends staying there.

Prof. I will rather prefer you keep this as a surprise if you believe you can pull it off which I doubt. I will advise you make such promises with one city at a time not the whole nation. If you could give Nigerians 12 hours a day uninterrupted power supply, you will forever be remembered!

Most of you are just hitting on the wrong issue here yea I agree that the government is our problem also maybe partly we the citizens are the problem cos we do is lament no actions are taken therefore we're taken 4 granted but I don't see what hausa, igbo or yoruba has todo with the issue of light!?

May this be achieved. it is like the supply of electricity is becoming steady in the recent time. Though it has been slow and gradual
