Bakassi boys (originated from aggrieved groups of Ariaria shoe makers that helped in fighting mafias and criminal in Aba through jungle justice) now called/known as Abia Vigilante Services. The Abia state government approved a uniform for them that looks like that of the Civil Defence uniform (excluding red neck). People now mistake these Bakassi boys for Civil Defence due to their blue Uniform, bullet proof and their use of automatic pump action gun. They now arrest offenders like the police and Civil Defence, attend government functions, move on siren Hilux jeeps, provide personal security services, escort services, etc. Other vigilante groups wear polo. Federal Government should address this fast to avoid .... |
