Chris Giwa, who claims to have been elected NFF president, has been quizzed by Nigeria’s anti- corruption agency EFCC. The associate’s banking transactions between January and June this year were put at 300,000 Naira, but between June and August, the transactions had skyrocketed to 250 million Naira.Giwa was whisked away from his Abuja home Friday by EFCC operatives to answer to the banking transactions of one of his associates. EFCC has now ordered 19 other persons who transferred cash through this account to appear before them on Monday. When Maigari was sacked and reinstated and was later impeached, I said it here on Nairaland that he'd also be reinstated, but many people never agreed with me saying he was impeached, not sacked until we were ordered to reinstate him back again. They should just allow this man complete is tenure for the sake of peace. The so-called new one has landed himself in trouble now. The fear of Maigari should be the beginning of wisdom for these men! |

Do you know that Chris Giwa tried to bribe some NFF members to step down for him. He tried to pay them off with $100,000! The same NFF members he calls thieves. Why would you want to bribe a Thief and the 'thief' turns you down  Its probably cos the so-called thief is decent. My people, we the masses don't know what is really happening at the background. Its appalling. Appalling for Nigerian Football. Where the bros get $100,000 from? |

I can tell you this: The Giwa guy isn't EFCC's real target- its his boss the godfather who pulls the strings. The one who is supposed to be a father to all sports and not football alone. Jona is pissed at the guy's activities. |
