Most of the responses to the thread are even more appalling compared to the already appalling subject matter ..it is unfortunate some folks are pre-programmed tribalists by default. It is no scerete that Abia state is renowned for its lack of good governance -a challenge that has bedeviled that space since 1999 when the current clown's predecessor mounted the saddle of leadership. What do folks gain by going tribal when majority of the 36states in the country face strikingly similar challenges? Fact is Nigerian leaders are all corrupt! ...Then again these leaders are united across board. You hear them throw jibes at each other on the dailies/natl telly but they are united (in friendship, biz association, contract awarding etc) behind the scences. They keep distracting the gullible including many on here by fuelling cleavages- those things that 'artificially' divide us viz tribe, religion, state of origin, pdp apc nonsense etc and majority continue to 'bite baite' -much to their pleasure (ie that of the leaders). Who wouldn't be pleased that the distracted masses are more interested in throwing tantrums at each other 'comparing notes' on what is largely mediocrity (judging with intl standards) across the federation instead of asking questions especially given that the required resources are supposedly available? My point essentially is TA Orji just like majority of his colleagues is a FAILED leader. The proletaraits face almost the same daily challenges that come with living and working in the jungle called Nigeria irrespective of tribal/ethnic affiliation and as such I beleive would be better of criticizing (constructively)/tasking failed leaders in UNISON

Stop that rubbish, its not about tribe or bigotry, its about the accountability of your governor to you! I frequently pass through Abia state to Calabar and I tell you, no matter the place you are coming from, once you get to Abia state, your journey would become more difficult. You can't pass through Aba to Ikot Ekpene unless you want get there without your car. Even for someone on his feet, its like crossing a small river or passing through a valley. The same thing passing through Umuahia. There are real craters on the road. If any of these media houses should beam their lights on the roads, Abia state would be seen in a more rounded vision.

Hold your governor responsible and stop being a bigot.

I was there 2yrs ago to run some tests for a certain job recruitment. I could not believe my eyes. The place was completely in ruins. Staff were.busy sharing their stockfish inside the lab hall as they ve not been paid 4 months salary. After a long wait my name was called. I went in to give my blood sample. Holy shiit!!!! What I saw was beyond horrible. I quickly left the place before I will contact rubbish

That Governor will suffer.......

I am a critic of T.A orji, but those pics by the Op are not from ABSUTH. ABSUTH is a relatively new teaching hospital,completed by the Orji uzor Kalu administration, before then, ABSUTH was using Aba general hospital as a temporary site, but presently most departments of ABSUTH, has been moved to the New site at Umueze.

It's really bad the level people go just to paint things black. I was in ABSUTH last week,if i knew of this thread,i would have taken pics from there. ABSUTH infrastructures are not world class,but by Nigerian class, they are quite good.

Hahahahhahaha, make I laugh small sha. Firstly, I like so much that Abia is in the spotlight and with all the bashings here and in the media, I hope to see a better Abia state.
Secondly, those pictures are as fake as fake. I have been to the teaching hospital a couple of times and no, that's not the teaching hospital. Abia state may be sick but that isn't their toilet or their ward.
Is it just me or does the picture look so desolate? In ABSUTH, there is always a teeming crowd of patients, relatives and friends. It has never been desolate even during the doctors strike
