Can you provide the Koran vs or verses which lead claim to that, and did it actually mention the killing of christians?
What if the interpretations was misleading?
Then if what you are saying is correct, i think a Muslim reading this should come out openly to clarify this truth or heresy as the case may be.
Please am being objective here.

We do not need to fight all the time to prove our point.

Peace to you.

You asked for evidence from the Quran. Mainstream muslims do not really derive their teachings from the Quran. Their ideology is mostly built by oral traditions fabricated and compiled centuries after the death of the Prophet. It is in compliance with these traditions that Sharia states like Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iran prohibit building or even expansion of Churches or Synagogues in their territories. This is a gross violation of several verses in the Quran. Although majority of muslims are ignorant of this.

No prohibition for building Churches can be found in the Qur'an. Quran guarantees freedom of belief to all(10:108). Non muslims in Islamic state can do what they want provided no one is harmed(41:40).

A true Islamic state like the one first established by the Prophet is secular, democratic and its constiution is drawned based on mutual consultation among the tribes and religious groups in the state and NOT theocratic, tyranic with forceful implementation of the laws claimed by a single religion as most muslims believe.
In such a state, there is no discrimination. Equal and the same rights are due to everyone, regardless of religion. Hence no discontentment over building of temple would arise.

ibedun: Christianity and Islam should both be banned!!!

They are both dependent on imaginary Allah or God! and both are BS.

A means to control and exploit people especially women.

Its people like yu that are the problem of the world. You equate Christianity with Islam when the difference and violence and evil practices are way apart. Tell me why atheism too shouldn't be banned, or hinduism or Buddhism or any ity or ism?

Why even go to Sudan to find examples where 'new church buildings are banned', just go to Kano, yes our own Kano state Nigeria.
In Kano churches are prohibited in 95% of the areas, and the remaining 5% in Sabon Gari has no new churches since after colonial administration,
because of the same reason the Sudanese are giving "too many churches"

My conclusions are still yet to be drawn but from the comments so far i can see this deep rooted enmity amongst people who called themselves children of God , and the funny thing is no body is talking about how to come to a compromise.
And NONE has been able to give me a direct answer as to why most elements in this two major religions HATE one-another with so much passion.
Where is all the Love your neighbor they so much preach about?
