“Judge not” (Matt 7:1) but “REPROVE, REBUKE, EXHORT with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Tim.4:2); “Wherefore REBUKE THEM SHARPLY, that they may be sound in the faith” (Tit1:13); “These things speak, and EXHORT, AND REBUKE WITH ALL AUTHORITY. Let no man despise thee” (Tit 2:15). “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works”. 2 Tim. 3:16. It is necessary therefore, to have a BALANCED UNDERSTANDING of the Word of God. Many ignorant “Christians” may want to run away with the Word of Christ, which says, “Judge not”, but you need to understand that there is a DIFFERENCE between judging and correcting. DON’T QUOTE “Judge not” to support your sinfulness, unrighteousness or prevent others from correcting or rebuking you for what you have done wrong. Don’t corrupt the Word of God or quote it to silence people who are trying to put you in the right way. 2 Cor 2:17. PLEASE UNDERSTAND: • Calling people to repentance is not judgment; • "Judge not" does not mean patting the sinner on the back for sins committed; • Rebuking one another for wrong done, is not judging; • Checking up on one another’s spiritual health, is not judging; • Calling back backsliders and the Worldly minded, is not judgement; • Correcting people and warning them to avoid error, is not judging; • Teaching and edifying one another, is not judging; • Helping people to focus on Heaven and righteousness, is not judging; • Exposing wrongdoing, is not judging. So, from today, “brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted”. Gal 6:1. The Lord will help you to obey His Word. Souce : Pastor W. Kumuyi facebook page |

PASTOR W F KUMUYI “JUDGE NOT, THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again”. Matt 7:1,2. As you read these precious words of the Lord Jesus Christ, the question to ask yourself is: “AM I GUILTY?” It is most certain that the answer would come back as, “YES, YOU ARE”! Many Christians today judge others HYPOCRITICALLY, HASTILY, PRESUMPTUOUSLY, UNFAIRLY, UNNECESSARILY, UNMERCIFULLY AND OFFICIOUSLY. They use what they have read from the Scriptures, which they have not applied to themselves first, to judge other people. The Scriptures are meant to be APPLIED TO OUR OWN LIVES FIRST and after, we can help others to understand God’s Requirements without judging them. DO YOU GO BEYOND THE BIBLE to condemn others in your criticisms? The mercy you are not willing to show others, you need the same mercy yourself. From today, begin to SHOW MERCY TO OTHERS and STOP JUDGING THEM WITH YOUR OWN STANDARDS. Ask God for grace to be more gentle, nice, loving, compassionate, considerate, thoughtful, patient and slower in passing judgement on others. There is enough pressure in the World that people are trying to cope with, DON’T INCREASE THE PRESSURE through your judgmental attitude and words. I pray the Lord will give you GRACE TO ALWAYS APPLY HIS WORD to your life FIRST, before correcting or helping others to discover God’s Will, WITHOUT JUDGING THEM in Jesus’ Name. Amen. |
