Boko Haram attracted serious international attention when they abducted over 270 girls from a secondary school in Chibok, North Easth Nigeria. As if their problem was not enough, a Liberian man who goes by the name Patrick Sawyer brouhgt a dreaded diseaes into the ountry known as Ebola Virus Disease. In the face of all these, came a man named Stephen Davis an Australian political geographer who came up with a revelations that the dreaded insurgents in the North, Boko Haram was being sponsored by former governor of Bornu State, Ali modu Sheriff former Army Chief, Azubuike Ihejirika and yet to to be named CBN official. Should he be taken serious?

A background check on his profile showed that Stephen Davis has worked with the Nigerian Government at different times and notable among them was his involvement in the negotiation between the Government and the insurgents in delta in 2004. He has worked with former democratic presidents of the country and has over the years established trust among many terrorist organisations and insurgents. After spending four months in the country, he came out with this revelation. He claimed to have been studying and has been in close contact with the insurgents for seven years. And that the Nigerian Government was aware of his presence and negotiation for a possible release of the abducted Chibok girls.

The two men who had been accused of this treasonable crime has come out to deny any involvement in the manace that has ravaged this country for quite a long time now and has realy gotten worst at this time. But am i the only who noticed the way they denied it. There was no bite in the denial and Davis himself has asked Sherrif to take him to court.

What is the security agents doing about this? How can we ascertain the truth in all these? I think the Nigerian Government should invite Davis with lots of promises, if possible with his own lawyers, his own security agents, other experts, analysts and the Nigerian Government doing the same. All should convey in a forum where he can without fear or favour make known his revelations and other findings. If clearly convinced, all those who have been indicted in his revelations should be made to urgently face the law and proper prosecution metted to deserving defaulters. But before then, if Sheriff and Ihejirika feel they ve been wrongly accused, they can as well go to court and prove their innocence.

If the Government of the day in its usual insentivity, silence and partying with corrupt individuals decides not to do something about this, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) can take up the matter, travel to meet with Davis, get all the facts and Start prosecution proceedings against anyone who in one way or the other is linked with this serious problem that has claimed lots of life of our people.

Steve Davis has been a Pawn in the hands of Northerners with or without him knowing. The Report of the military that Ihejirika made some reorganization in the execution and the delivery process of military aims on bokoharam without the cooperation of his deputies, incriminated him. Ali M. Sheriff bore prima face responsibity for the security of the state he governed. Now, it is our military that these three have contributed to mess up, I therefore suggest that the three of them be courtmashalled before a military court and not a civilian one.
