donphilopus: Boko Haram attacked a battalion of Soldiers moving from Edo to Niger in Kogi State?! Pathetic! These people should have known by now that in times like this, those soldiers should be flown instead of traveling by road cos Kogi is somehow. This' exacly how they were ambushed sometimes in 2013 or so in Kogi when they were going for peacekeeping mission in Mali.

How will they fly 850 soldiers, are they going to Iraq ni

Muslims in kogi state like ebira tribe and igala people, including some yoruba muslims are more fanatical than the hausa muslims.
They will be use to penetrate more evils. They live and know us well than the isolated hausa men and kanuri people..

Nigeria be wise
I have seen them myself.

Make we dey watch oooo.

having stayed with dem i know a few tins abt dem. Those pple are naturally wicked and can kill for some flimsy excuse and not bat an eyelid. Imagine when they are nw radicalized in Islam.

The fact that they are closer to d south dan d hausa/fulani shuld get d alarms ringing louder.

Nice point u raised there bt unfortunately our security agencies usually wait for some big incident to happen b4 taking action.

u r so correct bro, most especially the ebira. They are quick to provocation.

Many of them are radicalized already. The man from benue that perpetrated that abuja bomb blast is enough reason for us to understand.

The south is in great danger if we r not too careful with this impending warning.

Where was Goodluck Jonathan when common insurgents had courage and ambushed about 800 Nigerian soldiers? In fact, Jonathan should have stopped the insurgents in Kogi. Nigerians, I am representing Lai Mohamed, the APC SPOKESMAN.

There are definetely some 5th columnist in the Nigerian Army giving information to the insurgents.

How can the ambush take place without someone supplying the information?

There is nothing particularly ingenious or surprising in this tactic by Boko and or its sympathisers, attempting to create the impression that they have greater capacity than they actually have. It was simply opportunistic.

850 soldiers being deployed by road, in a large convoy make a huge footprint as well as a very obvious spectacle. It takes nothing to speculate on their route and inform Boko activists via mobile phone, it was never an ambush but a deadly publicity stunt designed to create fear and terror.

If indeed it was really pre planned they would have placed an IED or even used a Rpg7 it was all hastily done and impromptu, spraying the bus with AK fire, from a distance will create panic and enable them to run off.

What’s more important is the response from the NA, no time to be panicking but be professional, collected and concerted they really should have chased the idiots down and taken them out, and used them as a public spectacle in their failed attack.

Nigerian military jet missing after mission.

The Nigerian military jet "Alpha jet"
has been missing for two days after disappearing in the country's far
northeast, where troops are fighting Boko Haram insurgents, the military has said.

You mean Kogi should be disinfected with detol? diaris God oooo

what pains me is that our defence headquarter will not put any special watch on Kogi state now, until there is a report of bomb blast.

Nigeria always reactive, rather than being proactive since 19BC.
