There may be a transcription to the name "Mama" which I know not of, but having observed that with not-a-few moms I am compelled to ask my fellow "learned" Nlers. Why do they "nickname" their daughters "Mama" and not call their sons "Papa"?

Mostly firstborn girls are called mama....my momsie still calls me mama till date. She said it was because i was chubby then.


D funny thing is that most pple dont even know my name.....nd my mom is called Iya mama too. Infact whenever she calls my real name.....i know say my own don enter be dat.
