“Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.” - Franklin D. Roosevelt
How do politician with good manifesto educate the electorate when they do not know where they are, making when to educate them impossible. The popular choice of media for past political campaign has been the traditional media, which are radio, television, newspaper, billboard, roadshow etc. Are these media the best tool to be used in getting in touch with the electorate in the 21st century? The answer is an obvious NO.
The electorates are online searching on Google, posting on Facebook, tweeting on Twitter, discussing on Narialand, gossiping on Linda Ikeji’s Blog, looking for job on Jobberman, networking on LinkedIn etc

They are SEARCHING ON GOOGLE
“When life asks a question ask Google”. Actually people are asking Google because according to comScore Inc, 11.9 billion searches were conducted in February 2014. Imagine a fresh graduate searching on Google for job and your campaign message about mass employment shows up.

They are TWEETING ON TWITTER
What are the youth doing with their phone, if they are not on Facebook I bet you they are tweeting on Twitter. That was why, when #BringBackOurGirls went viral very politician wanted to tweet about it.

They are GOSSIPING ON LINDA IKEJI’S BLOG
Like it or hate it, people are hooking up to Linda Ikeja’s Blog for the latest gist in town. The 2011 video of some Abia State University’s students gang raping posted on YouTube went on unknown until it was mentioned on Linda Ikeji’s Blog.

They are SEARCHING FOR JOB ON JOBBERMAN
The last Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment exercise shows the level of unemployment and the number of people that wants to change their job. Jobberman is the largest online job board in Nigeria and this website is among the top 10 indigenous website.
