President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday met behind closed doors with all the security chiefs.
The meeting was meant to review the security
situation in the country, especially in the
troubled North East. The service chiefs and the acting Inspector- General of Police, Suleiman Abba, met with the President, Vice President Namadi Sambo and relevant ministers at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Emerging from the meeting, none of the
attendees spoke with journalists.
The meeting held on a day the leader of the
Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, appeared
in a video debunking claims by the Defence
Headquarters that he was killed in battle early
