Over 100 Boko Haram insurgents have been reported killed by Nigerian military in a fierce gun dual in an effort to reclaim Michika local government areas of Adamawa state from the control of the insurgents.,
However, a source from Michika alleged that the Nigerian troops this time were gaining the upper hand in the ongoing war to flush out the insurgents who had controlledMichika town for more than a month.
The source said the Nigerian troops have entered Michika following a phenomenal success they made against the insurgents who suffered severe casualties, forcing them to beat a retreat.
“The Nigerian troops have gained entry into Michika and are now fully in control of the town having dealt a severe blow to the insurgents, as they lost about 100 members as some escaped with injuries sustained from gun shots” the source said.
