What ads are we talking about:ads is the acronyms use for advertisement there are actually various types of ads, it may be in form of image, video or audio.sometime you will notice that when you visit some website you will just start hearing sound or video playing automatically and some site will open new windows or tab for this ads(pop up), these are pop up ads and some are in form of image like banners.there are even some free software that place ads on your browser until you upgrade to premium version this ads and pop up.this pop up ads are consuming some of your data and at the end of the day you found yourself racking your brain how you manage to finish up your data in small period of time, this make most desktop user have pop up and ads blocker installed on their desktop.today i will be discussing a working tips on how you can block ads and pop up on your android to avoid using half of your own data plan and loosing the remaining to ads and pop up.chrome browser actually automatically block ads and pop up and you can also do a little tweak on your chrome browser go to chrome settings>>bandwidth management>>reduce data usage. you will save a lot of data with this tweak. Firstly, you will have to download ad block plus here before you do that you should enable unknown source in your security settings and launch it.

FOR ANDROID DEVICE THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ROOTED

go to settings>>select WI-FI long press the connection you are on(do this for all WI-fi networks you regularly log into)>>modify network>>show advance options and switch the proxy settings to manual(it will automatically be set to none) you should now see some other options change your proxy hostname to localhost and proxy port to 2020 but if your adblock specify any port you should use that port.to remove adblock icon from your notification bar go to device's settings>>Apps>>Adblock plus and uncheck the show notification box. when you visit site with ads and pop up the only thing you will see where the ads or pop up is suppose to be is white space then you can freely visit any site without the fear for your data plan.

FOR A ROOTED ANDROID DEVICE

After launching your adblock plus it will ask you to for superuser permission, you should grant it.after that you can choose a subscription, easylist is okay and decide if you want all ads blocked or just inappropriate ones(video ads and sound) then you can set your notification bar as above and you are done.
if you have been using a different method please fell free to use the comment box
