The Senator representing Borno Central at the National Assembly, Zannah Ahmed, has alleged that the people of Bama are dying of starvation daily.

Bama is a vital commercial town in Borno State which fell to Boko Haram insurgents about a month ago.

He said the condition of the people of the town is so pitiable that the insurgents are even gaining what appeared to be a moral high ground because the aged and women, who could not flee the town in the wake of the capture, now depend on the insurgents to feed
