This is an old proverb my grandpa used to tell me. May his soul rest in peace. It goes like this :

"He who goes to bed with scratchy anus, wakes up with smelly hands"

It means do not procrastinate the job you have to get done.

i.e, don't sleep while your neighbor's house is on fire.

It might mean other thing too.

For my own understanding
It means someone talking about somebody or gossiping about other people but doesn't know if his hands are clean or not.

But my guy you should have asked your father while he was alive because your father might mean another thing.he is the to give you the right answer to this your proverb.
