Ghana Broke Closes Embassies by Awalla: 11:55pm On Oct 14, 2014 |
It has emerged that the majority of Ghana’s Missions abroad are totally broke, bringing activities at the outfits to a standstill. Salaries of the staff of the various embassies are not regular, with some receiving their wages piecemeal. Embassies believed to be cash-strapped are those in the United States, South Korea and Brazil among others, where office stationery are hard to come by, with landlords lurking around to eject them from their office accommodation. Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told DAILY GUIDE that the government is almost ready to close down some of the consulates and South Korea and Brazil are likely to be the first casualties. http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=330357&comment=0#com 2 Likes |

Damn.... That country is really going through some rough times. When it gets to a point where you can't fund your embassies, we're talking real economic collapse here. Sad. 10 Likes 1 Share |

ROSSIKE:What were those scumbags expecting when they devalued their currency and opted for the free trade zone which bombarded their local markets with American,Asian and European finished goods? The underfunded and underdeveloped local industry just went comatose and this is the beginning of their labor pains - delivery is still far ahead. 14 Likes |

I pity that Ghana shah. They'll soon join the league of failed Nations. A league comprising of CAR and co. They are even dying for our Gas. SMH. A country fully dependent on Nigeria yet their people come here to chicken us. It is worthy at this moment, that they should kneel down and call upon us to send in our economic team comprising of business moguls like Dangote, and business intellectuals like NOI to help draft policies that will boost and stabilize their economy for it is now clear they can't manage their country well and they need our colonization/economic help. 12 Likes |

Idrismusty97: not necessary. They need to give nigerians and other africans free hand to do business in their country. no country, even nigeria or south africa is an island. I would rather a nigerian buy up ghanian properties and develop them than chinese or anyone else. somebody make them see reason o...imf loan is rat poison. even brazil no fit swallow am. 6 Likes |

When u ejecct or create an unfriendly atmosphere industrous people who could boost ur economy frommm ur country just to satisfy the homophobbic apetite of ur citizens, there are far reachinnng consequences. South africans, indians and the rest of the world have hostile to nigerian citizenns within and outside the shores of nigeria, yet their busineses are still running and being protected within Nigeria. 5 Likes |
