Why isn't there a family genre? It doesn't really fit in any other. I haven't finished reading it though.

Literature as i know are written works such as poems, plays and novels. Poem here refers to poetry while plays and novels are prose.

So I think its unfair to call it a literature award and then skip or crop out poetry from it.
In order to revamp and rejuvenate the poetry section i am pleading on behalf of other pen pals on NL for you to create a slot for poets/poems/poetry in that award.

Yes you are right. I think you should mail the mods on this. I came into NL because of poetry but I realized NL hasn't created enough chances,enough opportunities for the poets. poetry should be included in the awards

@Divepen......Honestly, poetry and drama should be included...you called it literature awards while you discriminate other genres...do something about it because it'll discourage some nairalanders from voting including me.

If you check the first duscussion thread, you would see that Plays were involved but nobody chose any Play....
But for the Poetry, you can organise another one for that...
