tolexy007:Yes ooooooooo, we derive 'pleasure' from such. Until they do d right things as the early missionaries who brought these religions to us, we will continue to bash them. I pity gullible members like u who keep on waiting for 'miracle' to transform them from poverty to wealth without hard work. Quote me LUCIFER SON THE MORNING, the LIGHT BEARER wrongly at ur own peril. |

Missmossy: Rewards given in Heaven ARE SURE to come from God. earthly, material rewards MAY come from God or from chance or from evil doings! God WILL judge all and reward all appropriately. On earth I will judge and give my charity to the poor rather than the rich! That is my own role! |

Religious banditry is a reflection of the poor IQ level of most Nigerians, there is a redeemed church close to my house, in less than a year of operation, pastor is already on his 3rd car while no single member has one. when I listen to the pastor's childish message, I thought he will have only kids as members, to my chagrin he actually has adults too. Do you blame the pastors? they are banking on an emperical flaw in the Nigerian society. How do you explain Nigerian musicians who have no message in their songs yet are given full societal accolade and acceptance? How do you explain politicians with appendages like Patience Jonathan having followership? That fundamental flaw of very low IQ plaguing most Nigerians is what these people are capitalizing on. A society where majority cannot ask the right questions is bound to be under the spell of religious banditry. A society that will burn alive a petty thief but give their life to protect a corrupt politician. A society who bathe salt and water to cure a viral plaque is at the mercy of con men. A society who believe that a 10% bribe to god will open the windows of heaven for them is at the brink of obeying the law of segregation. 2 Likes |

Some issues are too high for ordinary people to ponder upon... I believe a matter as this isnt good for public consumption as it will instigate people against the Men of God! No mouth should bite the hand that feeds him... Leave a sensitive matters as this unto God to handle and judge before one incur Gods wrath! Be careful what you say about God's Anoited, It could have repercussion! |

dubemivan: God gave us the intelligence to judge actions AND a conscience to determine right from wrong. It instigates no one against a true man of God. It does ask us to recognise those false prophets preying on the faithful to enrich themselves personally. It is our duty to speak out against sin! 1 Like |

dubemivan: This is exactly the dumb Nigerian who patronise those kalo kalo houses, you will see how you will end up, continue! ! you think those miscreants are working for God? do you even have the intelligent quotient to ask the right questions? Even the Bible said in 1 Thessalonians 5: 21-22 that you must prove all things and hold on to that which is right. God himself gave you the right and wisdom to question their activities and you run back to God to decide for you what is right. When most of you don't have basic common sense how will you fulfil the words in 2 Thesolonians? Not your fault shaa the problem lies with a defective brain that is evident in most Nigerians. The madness is spreading throughout west Africa and I have no doubt that Nigerians exported it to those places. 1 Like |

The kind of Christianity majority of Nigerians claiming to be "Christians" practice is nothing more than fallacy and hypocrisy, because they are totally contrary to the commandments of Jesus Christ our Lord and Messiah. The following quotes are enough to address and expose fake pastors and false prophets and their churches in Nigeria. The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.
15 "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 2 Likes |

KoloOyinbo:Oga listen to Me... I never disputed that there isnt fake church and prophets neither did I say that ALL the ministers of God are righteous in their deeds! moreso I am not adamant about the scripture cos I have a solid foundation on that! No if you claim to know your scriptures you should have known by the word of God that we shouldnt judge Matt 7:1 this implies especially MEN of God because it is God who called them not YOU and hence you have no basis to judge them cos they are not accoutable to YOU but God. Beside if you criticize from now till eternity it will not change anything.. I refer you to what Gamaliel said Acts 5:34-39 Am very sure that will help you alot |

dubemivan: I never said they were ALL fake etc! I do not interpret Act to say we should not only close our eyes to sin but by contributing to it actually condone it! The Evil to prosper all that is necessary is for good men to do nothing. This reluctance to criticise anyone who calls himself a pastor even they are blatantly at fault is to condone such sinfulness. |

wisdom is wealth, even without the title those men will still be rich. blame yourself for your level of wealth, even if somebody works your wealth out for some people, they will still remain poor. been rich is a mindset, you got to make up your mind and get to work! |

Re: Rich Churches, Poor Members by dubemivan(m): 9:05pm On Mar 23, 2015 |
KoloOyinbo:Now get my point... your ranting and criticism will not change any thing and moreso making it public isnt wise it will only make the young and ignorant believers hate the church and not submit to any pastor based on this mentality that they are corrupt and bad hence giving the devil an upper hand over their lives which you yourself will be accountable for, unto God on judgement day! Also disclosing this publicly will only end up making the church a laughing stock before muslims and other faith. I think the best thing is to Pray for them cos nobody is above mistake even you isnt perfect! |
Re: Rich Churches, Poor Members by KoloOyinbo(m): 9:24pm On Mar 23, 2015 |
dubemivan: Oh I get your point but not sure who is ranting and raving. Looking dispassionately at sinners perverting the Word of God is hardly a rant or rave. The young must also be educated to know that there are evil 'so called pastors'. If we turn a blind eye then those people you speak about WILL have genuine cause to ridicule the Church. As it stand now we can (and must) say that these evil pastors are few (even fewer outside Naija) and are rightly condemned by true Christians. That is why it is so important for a true Christian to expose, reject and expel such corruption from out midst. Great damage can be done by meekly accepting evil. |
